"Initiation "
by Gary Springfield
The word initiation means to initiate action with
impeccability, the synonym of impeccability being purity of heart. In our spiritual growth
the initiations that we pass through are successive periods of spiritual tension, also
known as points of crisis, where we learn how to embody more of the three divine qualities
of power, wisdom and love. When we successively pass through these points of crisis our
actions are then initiated from a higher place in consciousness that is ever more pure,
loving and wise.
In some spiritual teachings and wisdom schools they enumerate the minor
initiations where you are taught how to release some of the grosser aspects of the
personality such as aggressiveness, moodiness, and emotionality in general. This is all
well and good, but once we have stepped onto the path of spirituality, and have made a
commitment to walk the narrow path that leads to the inner Christ, then goodness, grace,
and love should already be a major part of our self-expression.
For our study here we will discuss the major initiations, which are four in
number and are called the birth, the baptism, enlightenment and transfiguration. These
lead to the fifth initiation which is the level of the Master who can no longer be limited
and over shadowed even by our physical world of form. Like Christ, these individuals heal
the ill and infirm, are able to manifest loaves and fishes and even raise the dead. The
Master is able to traverse the spiritual realms of light, as well as the physical realms,
in full consciousness and is the custodian of arch-typical information that sets the stage
for the evolutionary awakening of mankind for thousands of years in the future.
It is said that over two thousand years ago there was a
divine plan that was set in motion by the Masters of the Wisdom that
began to prepare the land, that we now know as America, for the
unfolding of a new life wave of humanity. In this grand scheme brave
Souls would sail the seas and discover a New World where the virtues of
truth, demoracry and freedom could be embodied for the first time in
Earth’s history. Through subsequent conflict and crisis this new and
vibrant seed would be called upon to spread the word of freedom
throughout the world and, overtime, this would eventually usher in the
new Golden Age of Peace on Earth. We are the progeny of this seed and
through our spiritual awakening and transformation the divine flowers of
wisdom, love and joy are blooming in our hearts and minds. This sweet
perfume, of spiritual hope for the world, is now wafting through the
ethers, inviting all of humanity into a place of peace and plenitude.
In the major initiations the first initiation is called the
birth of the Christ child. It is during this point of spiritual training
that we, as the now awakened and indwelling Soul, begin to impose a new
rhythm of balance and harmony upon the physical body. Up until now the
physical body has often been an automaton that has demanded that it’s
baser appetites of food, drink, sexuality and sensuality be fed at its
whim and desire. With the awakening of the indwelling spirit, or Soul,
you learn how to monitor and watch the physical body, feeding it foods
that are higher vibrational and more appropriate for spiritual
development. The monkey mind of superfluous thoughts and inane chatter
is trained through meditation and spiritual practices to rest within
this new found silence as an instrument of the Soul. Even sexual energy
is no longer squandered for the shear pleasure of the experience and it
slowly evolves to become an intimate sharing of communion and union
between two Souls. These individuals have learned how to love themselves
first of all and, with that love, share it….rather than give it away
in a chimerical need to be validated and accepted.
At the same time within the second chakra, which is a hands breadth below the
navel, as well as the symbolic area of the womb in both men and women, you can begin to
feel the stirring of a new life force. This is the awakening and the birth of the magical
child within you. Up until now most people have lived from their woundedness; needing to
be validated and accepted by someone or something in the outer world in order to feel good
enough about themselves. In our society the unresolved wounds of childhood create the
proverbially masks that people wear in order to make themselves good enough in the eyes of
family, friends or the world. Money, power, sex and glamour are the acceptable masks of
society while the dysfunctional masks of drugs, alcohol, obesity and psychological
disorders are condemned. Nonetheless, all of these masks are but a call for love from a
magical child-like part of each human being that wanted to be unconditionally loved just
for who they are and not for what they do.
When we begin to recognize and love the inner child we reconnect with that pure
and perfect essence that was seeded into the child at our biological birth. This is the
Divine light of the Soul that is symbolic of the inner Christ. Your mother and father
prepared a physical body, but the authentic life force that animated the physical body is
the indwelling spirit that descended from the wisdom realm of the Soul. The first
initiation is the reawakening of this Divine essence within you through your own power,
wisdom and love. With this birth initiation you are now called forth to become the mother
and the father of the newly awakened inner child. With great patience, dedication and
spiritual resolve you will nurture and grow this Divine child within you until,
eventually, it will grow forth to become one of the awakened Sons and Daughters in Christ.
This is why you, as the awakening Soul, must now impose a new rhythm of harmony
and balance upon the physical body through meditation, emotional clearing and yoga, which
means focused movement of the body, so that it might become a fitting temple wherein the
pure light of the Soul might dwell. This will be the temple not made with hands, but a
living temple made in heaven through the power and love of the indwelling Christ.
Gary Springfield is a visionary,
spiritual teacher, healer and meditation master who has dedicated his life to the path of
enlightenment. For over twenty years he has taught meditation and spiritual transformation
and has read thousands of auras in his healing and teaching ministry. The purpose of his
work is to help individuals achieve the mystical marriage between spirit and matter, which
creates Divine Alchemy. This allows the light of the Soul, as spirit, to live fully
integrated within form.
There are two key tools in this work; the Golden Light
Meditation and the emotional clearing process. These provide the
powerful framework to improve all areas of one’s life….spiritually,
mentally, emotionally and physically. Gary will teach you techniques to
heal and transform old negative patterns and create sacred space within
your physical body for the greater embodiment of your Soul and the
unlimited gifts it seeks to bestow upon you.
The goal of evolution is to bring the light of the spiritual and mental planes
of consciousness and ground them into the emotional and physical planes. Then spirit and
matter become unified in the mystical marriage of masculine power and feminine love,
creating the Christ consciousness, also spoken of as the Buddha Nature. As the body is
thus quickened in vibration, through meditation and emotional clearing, spirit fully
enters into the physical form, eliminating suffering and disease and ultimately creating
the birthless and deathless body of light. Aura readings are available by phone at

"Finding
Peacefulness Within"
by Selacia
Messages from The Council of 12
Transmitted through Selacia * April 2002
Wesak 2002 Message:
Finding Peacefulness Within
.
Note from Selacia -- "At this Wesak, we once again remember the Buddha,
believed to have lived from 560
to 480 B.C. The time of the Wesak marks not only his birth, but also the date of his
enlightenment in
India. The Buddha energetically interacts with humanity each year at this time,
assisting us with our
quest to be liberated from suffering. One cause of our suffering is that we have
forgotten our unity. As
we celebrate the Wesak in 2002, we focus on moving into more of a unity consciousness,
letting go of our
long-established patterns of seeing ourselves as separate from others. To help us in
doing this, The
Council of 12 reminds us that in fact, we are really more alike than we are different.
Within our human
DNA, our genetic code varies by only about 1%. This 1% variation among humans is
responsible for ALL of our physical differences-- such as hair and skin color, what kind
of diseases we develop, how we age,
and our lifespan. This 1% means we really are NOT that different from one
another!"
* * * * * * * * * * * *
The Council of 12
This is a time of focusing on harmonizing and unifying the many seemingly opposing forces
on your planet. At this Wesak, we wish to call attention to the desire within each
heart to restore a sense of peacefulness. You wish to put an end to the many kinds of war
being waged on your planet. The battlefield of this war is
as much within each of you as it is in America, Afghanistan, and the Middle East.
You wish to find a
way to move out of suffering and into the kind of peacefulness and awareness that the
Buddha experienced so many years ago.
The peacefulness all of you seek really begins within your own heart. You cannot
feel truly peaceful and
whole when you carry fears and expectations that others can disturb your inner balance.
Your hearts
are full of these fears and expectations. You have learned from an early age to
listen to and act from
these fears and expectations. For example, as a child you are trained to fear your
parents -- and later
other authority figures -- observing that when your behavior is somehow unacceptable to
others, you may be punished. You learn that it's not safe to express who you really
are. You are trained to think that you
must compete with others to get what you want. You learn to see what's wrong with
yourself and others,
and to see yourself as separate. You spend your life trying to fix this wrongness,
this separateness. You
seek to be in relationship with others -- not from wholeness and connectedness -- but from
a place of
feeling separate and disconnected. Is it any wonder, then, that peacefulness
continues to elude you?
No one outside of you really has the power to throw you off balance. No one can
really disturb the
peacefulness you create. You may have the illusion that this is so. However,
it is you alone who does
the creating of peace or a lack of peace within. Consider the joy and peacefulness
you might experience
in connection with pursuing and realizing one of your dreams. For some of you, when
you move ahead with a cherished goal or creative project -- there is a fear of creating
something others can attack or dismantle.
Underneath this fear is the false notion that when these external things are attacked or
dismantled, your
very essence is also impacted. Of course, your Higher Awareness knows this is not
true. Your less aware self, however, moves into a defensive stance when it feels
threatened in these ways. This part of you
feels unsafe and unsure.
When you respond from this type of defensiveness, forgetting that others really can't harm
you, you
create disturbances within yourself. You do this as you pursue both large and small
goals.
An example of a small goal is your desire to travel from one point to another. You
drive along a busy
road, with the intent to arrive at your destination as quickly as possible. If you
feel other drivers will
thwart your journey, delaying your arrival at your destination, you may become irritated
and angry. If
you allow your anger to move you out-of-balance emotionally, your inner disturbance may be
reflected
in your driving. You may even cause an accident by speeding or unsafe driving. If
you are stopped by a
policeman and given a speeding ticket, you may respond to the ticket as though you were
being punished. This may trigger within you earlier experiences during which you
concluded that you were wrong or bad. This may stir up old, familiar emotions of
anger and even rage. Your anger may spill over into your other activities undertaken
after you reach your destination. Being off-balance, you could find yourself tense
and argumentative. You could bring this tenseness into your interactions with a
loved one, instigating an argument or simply responding to your loved one with a cold
demeanor.
An example of a large goal is your desire to achieve financial prosperity. For
anyone desiring to manifest
abundance, there can be many obstacles along the way for the person who responds to life
with fear and
limiting belief systems. For example, you may be anxious about having enough money
in times of economic recession. You may hold beliefs in your subconscious -- without
your knowing it -- that set up expectations for failure. An illustration of this
could be a belief that when you lose a job with one employer, it
will be difficult to find another suitable job. The part of you that believes this
may try to hold on to a
job that's no longer appropriate for your path. You may feel threatened by a
potential change. You may
even get defensive and argumentative with friendly colleagues who suggest that you'd be
happier somewhere else. You may not be willing to open your eyes to the many other
options that the Divine has for you. This defensiveness and limited point of view
will throw you off-balance. Instead of getting closer to your goal of financial
prosperity, this response pulls you farther away from it.
You can choose, at any of these points along the way, to stop being defensive. You
can choose to refuse to allow these external events to throw you into a state of
imbalance. How can you do this? One important
tool is to become more aware of and in control of your mind and emotions. The more
that you understand what fears and limiting beliefs are running you, the easier it will be
to begin taking control. If you are not
aware of what you fear - without an understanding of how your subconscious beliefs fuel
your fears -- you
will be unable to control your mind and how it responds to your external world.
One universal fear impacting many of you involves the false notion that what you are,
have, do, or create
can be taken away or altered in a negative way. This fear can prevent you from
taking the steps that will
manifest your dreams. Take a few moments now and ask yourself how this
universal fear applies to your own life. Go into the silence of your own heart and ask
some questions like the following: What do you fear losing? What do you fear could
be changed in a way that harms you? What assumptions do you hold about making
changes in your life? In what situations do you fear that change will be accompanied
by pain or loss? Under what circumstances do you think that others will somehow
force change on you, without your having the ability to influence the outcome? Do
you doubt that you have the inner resources to make the changes you desire? Are you
willing to allow the Divine to reveal to you the confusion and false notions that are
keeping you stuck and in pain? Are you willing to allow the Divine to help you
move into more clarity, co-creating the changes that you truly need to be a more
self-empowered, more enlightened being? At this time of year, you are invited to
remember the abundance of transformational spiritual energies available upon the Earth
during Wesak. Take a moment now and set your intent to participate in these Wesak
energies as fully and as consciously as you can. It is not necessary to understand the
process with your rational mind. In fact, it's ideal that you allow the rational
left brain to take a backseat, freeing the
imaginative right brain to guide you into more clarity. Allow your intuitive mind
and intuitively guided reason to take you beyond logic and beyond the stereotypes your
world presents. Invite your Higher Self to assist you in connecting fully with the
many blessings available at this time. Make the conscious choice to be awake and
responsive to the messages and gifts of the Wesak season. Allow the Divine to
provide the catalysts you personally need now in order to move into greater clarity.
Remind yourself to be open-hearted as you respond to these catalysts, refusing to
allow your fears and doubts to color your
view.
As you move out of confusion and into more clarity in the days to come, we surround you
with our love and blessings. We are The Council of 12.

"The Mighty Magnet"
A Message
From Archangel Michael May 1, 2002
Channeled Through & Written By Carolyn Ann O'Riley
A wondrous greetings to you, My Beautiful
Beings of Light, From The Creator. The Creator sends you unlimited hugs and your Guardian
Angels send you their unconditional love this moment in NOW.
Can you feel their presence as well as that of your Spiritual Family as they surround you
reading this message. They ask that you acknowledge their presence by either verbally or
mentally saying "YES! I know you are here," even though you may not be able to
see their visible beauty with your physical eyes.
They surround you in support at all times. They laugh with you. They send you love in your
highest moments of joy or your deepest moments of despair. Your Angels are excellent
resources for you. Allow them to interact with you through your invitation. They have so
much that they wish to share with you. They have so much that they could help you with if
you invite them to participate with you in this incarnation. So much is happening
all around you and in appearance to you. Wouldn't it be a refreshing change to have your
Angels on your assistance team on a daily basis? For many of you just having a
constant spiritual companion to communicate with would be a major triumph.
They are there just for you and are willing; all they need is an invitation from you.
If you are under very stressful conditions ask for more Angels to help you. Ask for more
Angels for your children and loved ones as well.
There are also Specialty Angels. The Specialty Angels help with specific problems for
example relationships. If you are having relationship problems ask the Relationship
Angels to assist you. Remember that they must be invited in and allow them to assist
or they can not act on your behalf. When you invite in your Specialty Angels be open
and honest as to what you see the problem to be and then turn the issue over to them. Know
that it will be dealt with in what ever way is most appropriate for your highest good and
the good of all concerned.
Ask for their help in assisting you with your remembrance of the lesson of attraction. Ask
for their help in understanding why you continue to attract into your life that which you
do not want in lieu of that which you do want.
You are mighty physical magnets that pull to yourselves that which you consciously and
unconsciously attract into your lives. Whether it be through lack of remembrance and
understanding most are attracting what they do not want. The effects of this are so
painful for you. It is hard for us to watch as you repeatedly pull towards yourselves such
pain, misunderstanding, lack, disrespect, loneliness, violence, hatred, judgments, fears
and grief.
Wouldn't it be of assistance, if you will, to explore the concept of attraction with your
Angels so that this habit can be broken and replaced with joy?
Ask yourself this question: What would you be giving up to experience more joy in your
life? Do you not feel worthy of such a gift?
Putting forth the intention to work on the attraction question is a step on the right path
for those ready to release the pain. Remember the simply saying that "which you fear
you draw near". That which you put your constant attention on will be what you
attract into your life.
You are such wondrous strong creators, My Beloveds, that this is happening more and more
intensely since the creation time frame of manifestation is becoming shorter and shorter
within this Planet Earth. You are materializing your manifestations much more quickly all
the time. You have but to take your mind off of peace for a split nana second and wham!
there is this war beginning right before your eyes because you saw a news headline that
suggested such. In reading that headline and the attention you paid, the disgust that you
felt, drew it to you just for that moment. This is how dramatic and quick this occurs, My
Divine Warriors of Light.
The constant direction of your attention on only those things that you want in your life
are needed to manifest them and attract them into your life. Your abilities are constantly
being remembered through inner work and outer triggers. The more aware you become the more
quickly you can learn to raise your vibrations for your own benefit and all those all
around you.
A meditation to practice might be of assistance. With your permission, I'll join you on
this adventure:
Find a quiet spot where you will not be disturbed for a while. You may either sit or lie
down, which ever is more comfortable for you. Cover your physical self with a light
blanket if you chill easily. Invite in at this moment all that you would have join
you on this journey.
In your imagination request through prayer to The Creator to send you down a protective
ray of white light by saying "My Creator, I ask for a protective ray of white light
to enfold me and lift me up so that I may experience the very highest of vibrations during
this journey into my most inner depths of understanding and Being. I desire to protect
myself from anything that is not for my highest good on this journey. I thank you Creator
for assisting me by sending this ray that is now coming down through the corner of the
room and entering into this physical form and permeating all that is within this
Beingness's presence."
The Creator has gifted you with a white ray and a yellow ray for this adventure. It is
entering into
your body through the soles of your feet and moving up through your physical vessel
permeating through out all of your energies fields and into all corners of the room that
you are in then exiting through your crown Chakra. It is returning to The Creator and
cycling back down through you again and back to The Creator in a circular motion.
You are now divinely protected and nothing can even communicate with you that is not for
your highest good without your permission at this moment.
We ask you further to direct your ego self to perch on your left shoulder at this moment.
Instruct your ego self that it is to only be an observer on this journey. Breath in
deeply, Beloveds, and feel the lighter relaxed feelings of being divinely guided into this
adventure.
Breath in deeply allowing and seeing within your imagination your Highest Guidance join
you and take your etheric hand to guide you into your heart Chakra. Your Highest
Guidance, accompanied by your Angels, Guides and special invited guests, are now within
your heart Chakra. As you locate and turn the door knob of the golden door that says
"To My Highest Guidance Within," you cross over the threshold.
You find yourself and your invited guests in a white marble corridor looking all around
you become confused by all the different doors and conveyance systems available to you
here. Your Angels sense your confusion and guide you to a fireman's pole in the center of
the room.
Your Angels tell you to go to the pole and place your arms and legs around the pole. You
say okay but don't see where you will go since the floor is solid beneath you, there is no
place to slide down to. As you do as the Angels have instructed, you are whisked upward.
You begin laughing. This is so much fun you tell yourself. Your Angels are just laughing
and laughing as they know that your anticipation was that a fireman's pole goes down and
not upward. You laugh at your self-limiting thought of the pole and thank The Angels
because you sense that if they had not been present your attraction to the wrong outcome
of this pole only going down would have done nothing but created frustration within
yourself. Since you anticipated that it could only have gone down you would have still be
in the corridor looking for the down part of the pole.
Your Angels acknowledge your understanding of attraction and smile.
You continue to be going up and up and up and ask when you are going arrive at your
destination. They tell you that you are now there and you slow to a stop andhop off on to
a puffy white cloud. This is a really large white cloud with some what of a flat surface
where you are standing. The Angels ask you to walk over to the center and sit down on the
cloud with your legs folded crosswise. You do so and they find their own positions.
One of the Angels passes their energy essence over a portion of the cloud and a window
appears. A window you think to yourself this is interesting. The Angels share with
you that this window is going down into Planet Earth at a specific point within your
incarnation. This is a major event timeline they tell you.
You shake your head in understanding and watch. They ask you to select a scene from your
life at a very heighten point of a crisis that you were in. You look puzzled at them and
they respond to you that this is a lesson in attraction that they want you to observe.
You select the scene and you watch it play out through the window (you will see
this scene without feeling the intense emotions, Your Angels remind you that you are only
the observer here and not reliving this episode). Watching yourself is so very difficult
to do, especially in this circumstance.
The scene is finally over.
Your Angels ask you to tell them what it was that you were thinking right before and
during this event. You tell them at great length the specifics of what you were feeling
and thinking. Then they ask you to try something that had never crossed your mind before.
They want you to think of the event in another way with only the most positive of
intent and actions.
You look confused and they elaborate that they want you to put the situation in a new
perspective. They explain that they are wanting you to do this now and they will run this
event again with your changes in place in slow motion so that you can see what the outcome
differences would have been if you had put positive attraction spins on each of the
moments and thoughts that went into this drama event.
You swallow hard and focus your attention on positive thoughts relating to this event. As
you do as they have suggested you notice something that you were not able to see before.
You are now able to see your energy fields around you. The Angels explain that they want
you to see these additional psychic portions of the energy fields so that you fully
understand the effects that this change has. As you begin again knowing that this is
a more visual experience for you, you look for the subtle differences in the energy fields
and their vibrational changes.
You notice that your more positive thought trend is producing a more positive outcome and
you smile. You notice also that your more positive heighten vibrational fields are
interacting with the other participants and changing their energy fields to a higher
frequency. It is raising them up and it allows them to then more easily hear their own
higher directives. You smile again because you see that their more higher directives are
changing the outcome on their side of the interaction as well.
You think to yourself that you could have been utilizing these positive attraction skills
all along
and it certainly would have changed the way your life had gone thus far. Your Angels are
reading your thoughts and nod in agreement. They tell you that even though it might not
have completely wiped out the experience, because this was a contracted event, that it
could have vastly impacted the outcome simply by using this approach.
You understand.
They ask you if you would like to see the replay of the event again as it occurred
originally with the additional visual effects of the energy fields, so that you could see
the differences that the negative had. You say "yes". They replay the scene for
you and you are amazed at the energy field differences that you see.
You thank them for their assistance in helping your understand this attraction principal.
They ask you how many other experiences that you could have changed had you used this
approach? You just sigh and tell them hundreds and hundreds of events, but that is past.
You tell them that you will from this point forward use what they have helped you
remember.
They hug you and tell you that that is the most important point. Change the NOW and what
you do going forward because it will vastly assist in your quality of life from this point
into the future. They also remind you that your positive energies will combine with all
the other positive energies to assist in lifting up the mass consciousness so it can
receive the highest directives from its source as well.
You thank them. They tell you it is time to go home. They tell you also that
any time you need a refresher course to just ask and you can do this again.
They tell you to put your arms and legs around the fireman's pole again and this time you
will be going down they smile.
You arrive back into the white marble corridor. You feel really different and understand
that an old light switch that you had missed in the dark had been flipped on for you so
that you could see more clearly. It feels good to have this awareness back with you again.
They lead you back over the threshold into your Heart Chakra back into your physical form.
You wiggle your fingers and your toes. When you are ready, open your eyes and go about
your day.
My Beloveds, you are so very powerful. Your lack of remembrance about this portion of
yourselves has created much of what you don't want in your world. It is now time to turn
on that light switch of remembrance to begin the job going forward to put positive
attraction action, shall we say, back into your daily activities. You can change the
direction of what is occurring, one Beautiful Light Being at a time.
You are so very dearly loved.

"Mandala Blessings: Art that Heals and Transforms"
by Bonnie Bell
Mandalas are graceful images that depict a sacred space. More than
just beautiful art, these images are also empowering tools for positive transformation.
Used for centuries in Hindu, Buddhist and Native American spiritual practice (with
counterparts in many other cultures) mandalas are becoming increasingly popular in our
time. In this era of visual news, when images of destruction reach us within minutes of
occurring, mandalas offer us a much-needed visual antidote. They are wellsprings of
blessing energy that we can draw on for regeneration of body and spirit.
What follows are some ways that you can engage with mandalas to enrich your
life. The emergence of so many styles of mandala art in our modern culture points to their
deep appeal to our human psyche. The archetypal shapes and content of these images help us
unlock layers of awareness, light up new levels of intuition, and balance bodily and
emotional states.
The word mandala is used here to describe an image that is designed with sacred
intention; that uses geometry, symmetry, and color to convey information and confer
blessings. The word "mandala" means mystic circle. Most mandalas are structured
around a circular or symmetrical enclosure. The image thus becomes a chalice that holds
indwelling presences and energetic information. Both traditional and modern mandalas
contain many significant symbols, colors, and sometimes deities or totems. Every shape
resonates with deep levels of meaning. Our intuitive minds are very responsive to this
kind of visual code. By gazing at a mandala, or by creating one ourselves, we tap into
otherwise inaccessible sources of transformational help. Whether we understand these
sources to be within ourselves or coming from spirit beyond, we can be greatly enlivened
by their gifts.
I speak of this art with passion because I have been helped very deeply by
contemplating and creating mandalas. During a recent health crisis that could not really
be addressed by allopathic medicine, these images have been a constant source of comfort
and inspiration. In a very real way, I have drawn on mandalas as a source of
"beauty-medicine". They have given me support, not only for my personal healing,
but for global healing as well. When the anguishing events of 9/11 took place, I
immediately turned to mandalas for help. My partner, David Todd, and I spent the afternoon
of that heart-rending day creating a mandala called "World-Healer". It was one
way we could transmute our grief and pain into an image that we hoped could likewise help
others heal. Creating and meditating on this mandala was something constructive that we
could do in the midst of devastation.

The word "constructive" points to the profound service that mandalas
perform. We are constantly assembling a picture of the world based on what we see around
us. In modern culture, the pictorial input we receive comes primarily from commercial and
political interests. We are literally bombarded by imagery that is designed to sell us
products and shape our thoughts and emotions. Mandalas offer us a different kind of visual
input based on sacred and symbolic content. The elements in mandalas link us into our own
deep awareness and to sources of transpersonal help. Mandalas empower us by providing
visual building blocks with which we can construct a new, uplifting picture of our world,
and thus help re-vision it.
How Mandalas Can Support You
There is no right or wrong way to enjoy mandala art. First and foremost, trust
your heart and eyes to guide you into relationship with these images. However, you can
enhance your experience by considering some specific ways to work with this form of art.
We will explore here how mandalas can help you to transform and expand your awareness, how
they can bring you harmonizing and healing energies, and how these images can empower you
and your environment.
Expanding awareness—Since ancient times, it has been
understood that gazing at a mandala can change your state. Within the
spiritual context, mandalas are highly respected as a tool for
transformation. Mandalas confer initiations and can provide instruction
for a person’s entire practice. Primarily through the growth of
Hinduism and Buddhism in the West, we have been re-introduced to this
spirit-elevating function of mandalas. Many other traditions, including
indigenous religions around the world, also work with images that can be
considered mandalas or which share their sacred purpose. Regardless of
your spiritual path, you can benefit from meditating on a mandala. The
spacious beauty of these images invites you to open and expand your
attention. Figures depicted in mandalas may also help you connect with
spirit-guides who can help navigate the open seas of consciousness.
Within the psychological domain, mandalas are also used to
expand awareness. Dr. C. J. Jung was a forerunner in bringing mandalas
into this form of active use. He saw that his patients could retrieve
crucial information from primal levels of consciousness by drawing
mandalas. Through the process of drawing a mandala, they were making
visible an inner crucible of self-content. Jung felt that even symbolic
content from the collective levels of consciousness rose to the surface
in this process. Once seen, all this content becomes usable for growth.
Even if you don’t draw a mandala yourself, you can work with one to
pull up information from the depths of your feeling. Pick an image that
really speaks to you and use it like a map to guide you to your own
hidden treasures. You may want to keep a journal for recording what
surfaces through such contemplation.
David and I found, when we began making Nature-sourced mandalas, that this form
of art could also open an amazing visual portal into the Earth. Not only revelations from
the heavenly domains and the inner psyche, but also from the material realms can be
accessed via the archetypal structure of mandalas. Whereas mandalas had originally helped
us journey into cosmic realms, we discovered that they could take us deep into the realms
of matter. We tell the story of our heaven-meets-earth experience in our book,
"GaiaStar Mandalas: Ecstatic Visions of the Living Earth."

Mandalas support consciousness-expansion because their
symbolic geometries and patterning information resonate within us at so
many levels. Their visual messages work like key-codes—they give us
access to levels of awareness that are always potentially within reach,
but not readily contacted. A mandala holds open a gateway into these
wider dimensions of self and world. This helps us go beyond the limiting
pressures of daily awareness into a space where we can dive deep and
soar high.
One way to optimize your meditation with mandalas is to bring your other senses
into play. The different sensory elements synergize with each other to enhance your
experience. You can add the dimension of scent by burning incense or diffusing essential
oils; you can create a sound-scape with your favorite mediation music. Lighting candles or
even wearing a special garment may also help set the tone for your journey. Allow your
breathing to calm and deepen as you regard the image and let the mandala take you where
you want to go. You will be enacting a ritual that has been valued throughout the ages.
Healing and harmonizing—More and more people use mandalas
to enhance their health, both physical and emotional. Some mandalas are
specifically created for healing, but it seems that almost all mandalas
communicate a restorative message. The structure of mandalas (usually
symmetrical and centered) works together with their inherent blessing
intention to provide comforting support to those in need.
Mandalas convey that harmony is possible, even in times of
chaos and challenge. When you sit down to regard a mandala, the two
sides of your brain and body can come into balance. Your nervous system
can drop out of fight-or-flight mode into a restful condition. As your
eyes follow the patterns toward the center of the image, you are drawn
into the core—of yourself, of your feelings. At the same time, you
open out into a naturally expanded awareness. You come into a state of
relaxation. This not only helps your bodily systems to operate
optimally, it also supports your emotional healing. The steady blessing
force of the mandala holds you in its field, so that even difficult
feelings can be surfaced and processed in its gentle embrace.
You may also receive guidance on your healing process while meditating on a
mandala. Your state of contemplative openness as well as the symbolic content of the
mandala helps you retrieve this kind of information from within yourself or from spiritual
sources. Additionally, you can use a mandala to set your own intention to get well. By
speaking your desire aloud or simply meditating on it, you can invest the image with your
prayerful intention. The mandala then becomes a constant visual reminder and touchstone
for ongoing healing. You can also do this for a friend or loved one who is ill.
An event that reflects the healing power in mandalas took
place when David and I showed our work at an art festival in Sausalito,
California. We had just completed a series of thirty-five images that we
call Healing Mandalas, several of which were displayed on one wall of
our booth. Just before closing time, a woman came toward us. She was
walking with a cane, and looked very tired. As she came into our space,
she first gave a great sigh of relief, and then burst into tears. When
she could speak, she told us that she was having radical cancer
treatment. She had the urgent intuition that she should go to the
festival because there was something there that she really needed to
help her recover. Even though it wasn’t easy for her, she walked all
around the art fair looking for her medicine piece. When she saw the
mandala on our wall (one made from a star-gazer lily,), it gave her a
tremendous message of hope and blessing. As she walked away with the
mandala in her backpack, we were very grateful to have been there.

In addition to helping restore body and emotions, mandalas can support healing
of the soul and spirit. Some people use mandalas for shamanic journeying and
soul-retrieval ceremonies. These images work like visual bridges to help re-connect the
earthly and heavenly aspects of self. In their very structure, mandalas integrate up and
down, left and right, within and beyond. They are images of wholeness, and this message
works at every level of being to help you become whole.
Empowering you and your environment—To be empowered by a
mandala is to draw enrichment and strength from viewing it. Much like a
window lets in the light of the sun, these images are openings to
radiant sources. In addition to being gateways out into spacious realms,
they are also gateways in. Through these artful portals, light-blessings
pour into our world.
When using a mandala for empowerment, you are focusing less on where it can
take you and more on what you can absorb from it. You may ask for empowerment for a
specific purpose (for instance, the launch of a business or the blessing of a
partnership), or simply to be energized. Part of the empowerment may come in the form of
intuitive information that shifts your perspective.
This empowering function of mandalas is very valuable in
times like these. So much information comes your way that tends to dis-empower
you and leave you feeling helpless. It is important to locate sources of
profound help that keep your spirits up and give you enabling energy and
guidance. When you sit down to contemplate a mandala, don’t be
hesitant to drink in the good "juice" that flows to you from
the image. Mandalas are created to shine this blessing-force, and it
fulfills their purpose when you use them as a vibrant resource.
A mandala can also empower a place in your home or office. Such sacred pieces
work a kind of natural feng shui in rooms where they are hung. Their radiant presence can
really shift the vibration of the environment. Mandalas offer a way to create sacred space
in a simple and elegant fashion.
Share the Blessings
I see modern mandalas as expressions of an unbroken stream of medicine art that
stretches back to the roots of human culture. We have always looked to art to inspire and
transform us. Many of us are being re-introduced to the healing power of art through
mandalas. With their archetypal content, these images reach across the boundaries of time
and traditions. In their universal language of shape and color, they broadcast their
healing messages to all. Enjoy mandalas and share them. They are generators of brightness
in a world that needs light.

For Bonnie Bell and her partner,
David Todd, creating sacred art was an answer to a deep calling to serve
a world in transition. Though neither was originally an artist, they
immersed themselves in the creation of collages and mandalas. They
discovered a visual alchemy: they took close-up photographs of natural
objects (such as flowers, feathers, and stones), and re-mixed them
digitally into symmetrical mandalas. The spontaneous natural shapes and
intentional geometries in these images work together to convey a great
deal of uplifting information. Bonnie and David’s work has evolved
into a new form of medicine art that conveys the blessing energies of
Star/spirit and Gaia/matter. Thus, they call their creations GaiaStar
Arts.
Bonnie and David’s publications
include their book, GaiaStar Mandalas: Ecstatic Visions of the Living
Earth, containing 90 full-color mandalas and the story of how their art
came into being. Their Healing Mandalas calendar, Healing Mandalas
screen-savers, and Flower Mandalas notecards are all ways to share
mandala blessings. They have also created a divination deck The GaiaStar
Codex: Seeds of a Turned On World. This set of 64 cards takes its users
on a visionary journey of global emergence. Bonnie and David also offer
fine art prints of many of their works as well as custom creations.
Prior to becoming an artist, Bonnie was
an educator, midwife, and alchemical healer. She founded the non-profit
Center for Sacred Arts. David was a writer and editor of a spiritual
press and co-founder of a software company. The two artists work side by
side in making their images. It is art created in sacred partnership—between
two people, with the Earth, and with allies in many dimensions. Bonnie
and David’s goal is to put their art technologies into the hands of
people who want to help re-vision the world. To learn more about their
art and transformational offerings, please visit www.gaiastarworld.com.

"Enlightenment in the New Age"
by Janaka
We live in a
time unique in our known history, where grace is available to all who but ask. What was
once true thousands of years ago when Krishna told Arjuna that only one in millions could
reach enlightenment, today, with time appearing sped up, enlightenment is on its way of
not becoming such a big deal.
What is enlightenment? Enlightenment is to be filled with
light, to be born/borne by light, to feel light, to realize one’s
lightness. To be in the place of enlightenment one becomes aware of one’s
Self, which, without judgment, is the witness of all that the individual
thinks, says, feels and acts throughout time.
Since the Self is the witness of the activities in time, it is therefore
untouched by Time and therefore timeless. There is only the simultaneous unfolding of the
NOW. When one becomes enlightened, one lives in a state of timelessness.
And since the Self is timeless and therefore eternal there is
no separation with the Godhead or ALL THAT IS. Thus there is no more
searching. The search has ended for the one who has become enlightened.
After all, it is a very heavy thing not to know one’s Self. Once one
stands in Self Awareness all the gravity of the world, of that search,
falls away, and a feeling of being light ensues.
Just as a child is not burdened by questions of who he or she
is, and so can play freely in the world; so once one becomes
enlightened, when one know one’s Self and no questions of the Self
remain, when no definitions or belief structures are needed to be held
onto to try to fit the Self into, then the enlightened one is a child
once again.
When you think about it, a definition is no more than a box. When one lives in
uncertainty because the Self is not known it is nice to have a little box to feel safe in.
The problem is is that that box becomes a dark coffin. To be alive one can have no box, no
matter how lofty of a definition--whether one is termed a saint, avatar, angel,
extraterrestrial, healer, yogi, etc.--because any definition, any box, will keep the light
out.
It is very difficult to keep out of boxes in the world of
three-dimensional reality. Matter is represented by the symbol of the
cube. Look around where you live and what does everyone live in? Cubes!
And people are constantly encasing friends, families, enemies, everyone,
into definitions: ‘Oh son, you are a good student.’ ‘He’s a
great football player.’ ‘He is an evil man.’
`To be enlightened is to be free of definitions, to be free
of the finite. ‘My son does well at school.’ ‘He scored three
touchdowns.’ ‘He murdered many people.’ Regarding the action does
not lock one into definitions. Instead it allows for one to just meet
the action in appropriate ways.
No matter what I do it is not who I AM. Who I AM is so limitless, so
magnificent, that no box could I fit into. Yet who I AM expresses my Self in the physical
world in countless ways, with some predominating. To be enlightened is to be merged with
the Self so that all actions can be viewed without judgment, just like the sun that
continues to shine upon everyone--sinner and saint alike.
This concept is difficult for humans locked into three-
dimensional reality and its linear time structure. One will take the
Hitlers and Stalins and then the masters and saints and say these
personalities are bad and these are good. But for one who sees from the
eyes of the Self one sees all lives as simultaneous, each full of a
multitude of actions. Just as the hero in Herman Hesse’s novel, ‘Siddartha’,
came to his realization that all of the river is the great OM, from its
little trickling at the beginning to its great finale when it reaches
the sea; the Self sees both the beginning and the end.
To the Self existence is a learning experience, not to become
worthwhile--that makes no sense to the Self who is always aware of its
divinity--but for the pure joy of learning or becoming. Like the child’s
pure joy of learning before he or she begins to get judged by grades. It
is a creative process. To be creative there cannot be a judge standing
over one’s shoulder. That is like doing a painting where every time
you make a mistake you get whacked on the hand. You definitely will not
create anything worthwhile. Instead, you will get a piece that follows
certain rules that the judge favors, very controlled, and absolutely no
fun in its making.
To be enlightened the world seems like a wonderfully large canvass, free to be
painted upon by whichever colors and forms the Self wants to experience. There is no
judge.
Now, of course, one cannot be free of judgment when one is
locked to the definition that one is a body that is born and will die.
By that definition anybody who takes away another person’s existence
is very horrible indeed. Not to mention God who seems to do it everyday.
However, when one discovers that one is nothing more than energy or
light, birth and death become obsolete terms. The physical is seen as
condensed light operating on a slower vibration or lower octave.
Everything vibrates and resonates with one another.
In the teachings of old, many teachers have tried to separate the spirit from
the body. But that is not true. The body is also energy and is a part of the energy of the
Self, of ALL THAT IS. As well as emotions and thoughts. There are no separations between
any of these. They are simply different manifestations of energy and vehicles with which
the Self expresses itSelf.
How to become enlightened? As there are multitudes of individuals so there are
multitudes of paths. Or so it appears. Yet the most important thing one can do is be your
Self. With so many awakening and helping, and so many in the invisible realms assisting,
the most important thing is wanting the Truth of the knowledge of who you are. Letting go
of all the fictitious veils of definitions. Breathe. Trace your thoughts back to the
Silence from which they arise. And be the infinite Space of that Silence.
Pray to God, pray to who you really are, the infinite Self and ask to know your
Self. Ask because you no longer want to experience the world of suffering that you
created, where you separated your little personality self from your infinite Self that can
only experience the world, itSelf, with love and joy. Do not run away from suffering;
otherwise it will chase you like a dog. Just want love and joy as your birthright. Be
around those who yearn for God, or better yet, embody God. Give yourself time each day to
sit quietly or to walk in nature, where you can listen and feel those invisible ones who
shine with the light you are. Relax and breathe, just like a woman giving natural birth,
and honor the process with loving acceptance.
And you will know that your Self is free; always has been; always will be.

"Suffering to Peace: The Unreal to the Real"
by Janaka
ALL
THE WORLD IS SUFFERING?
When I first read the words of the Buddha, "All the world is
suffering," I was trekking in Nepal. I remember sitting alone on a rock looking down
upon a Buddhist monastery, hearing the drones of their prayers, watching monks carry heavy
loads of food and logs. The day was beautiful, the air crisp, the near-by snow-covered
peaks towered majestically overhead. On such a day, feeling so alive, I could only laugh
at what the Buddha had said. "How could this beautiful, magnificent world be filled
with suffering? Did not the Buddha see the beauty of the world? Obviously, he must have
been very unhappy," I said to the faraway monks.
And off I continued on my adventure and into the future.
It was four years later, at the beginning of my partner's pregnancy, when she
was attacked in the middle of the night with a severe migraine, that his words, like the
metaphorical arrow he often used, struck my heart in their truth. It was in my partner's
pain and in my anguish over my helplessness that all doubt was removed about which
direction to turn. For in my mind's eye, as she screamed in agony, I saw her dead, and
experienced the sorrow of her passing. Though she recovered in the morning, my sorrow
remained; because I knew that she, like all things of this world, will pass. All those
people and things I considered my happiness I knew must go, and all that would be left in
their wake would be sorrow.
All things change. And the world is composed of things. No thing can be
changeless, for time whittles away anything it touches. No metal has been made to
withstand time. No mountain range will ever stand up to time. Even the Earth, the Sun, and
the Universe will one day dissolve. Relentless is time.
If we place our hopes, our happiness in anyone or anything, even if we attain
our desired end and hold onto it with all our might, time will wield its sword and the
objects of our desires will crumble in our bloody hands. All that is made of dust will
return to dust. What comes, must go.
THE BOWL
What makes a clay bowl a clay bowl? Obviously, the clay as well as the shape.
But it also has a taste, a texture, and perhaps a smell, and sound. However, being that
our eyes are things, or phenomenon, they see only things, or phenomenon. This holds true
for every sense organ, each experiencing a different aspect of phenomenon. So when we come
to the bowl it is our senses which define the bowl.
Yet, there is also space. Inside the bowl as well as without. Without that
space the bowl cannot exist as a bowl. Without the inside space the bowl could contain
nothing. Without the outside space there would be no place to be and it would have no
separation from any other object, and thus no definition.
But space is something we ignore. For it is nothing-no thing. Being that our
senses cannot make contact or experience space (it is only by observing gaps between
objects do we through our senses notice space), and because our senses have become our
guides, we simply ignore space.
We are only interested in objects. We see (sight is the favored sense of modern
times) only the forms-not what's inside, nor the common space outside all forms.
Focusing on the form we then come to beginnings and ends, creation and
destruction, life and death. And so arise questions and theories, theology and science.
Ramana Maharshi, a modern sage of India, when asked about reincarnation, life after death,
and other such metaphysical matters, like the Buddha, seldom indulged in such
speculations. However, one analogy he would use would be of the bowl. The bowl when moving
point to point appears to carry the space within it. Yet, in truth, it is only the bowl
moving through space and space not moving at all. And when the bowl becomes shattered and
destroyed, the space remains as it has been and always will be.
SPACE/CONSCIOUSNESS
Space is another term for Consciousness: The space that surrounds and fills any
object, no matter how subtle, that can be perceived. Consciousness is the space around and
within the objects perceived by the sixth sense or the space around and in the objects
perceived by the mind, the ideas and thoughts. It is the space around and within the mind
itself. And it is the space within space and around space.
To become aware of space or Consciousness is not as simple as it might
immediately sound. Remember, if space is perceived-by any sense organ, the psychic organ,
or the mind organ-then it has become an object, and thus exists space around and within
it. It cannot be touched, seen, smelt, tasted, heard or thought of. It can only be
experienced. Yet once the thought of the experience arises, space shifts to the background
and the object of thought presides. The transitory is once more focused upon.
THE POINT ON FOCUSING ON THE POINTLESS?
Why bother with all this talk of space? If its just talk there is no point.
Then it becomes only more intellectual stuff, more intellectual phenomenon. Yet, there is
a point to experience it. If what the Buddha said is true, that striving to attain the
transitory things of the world will in the end result only in suffering, then it is wise
to find That which is permanent--the Infinite.
Instead of discussing metaphysics, debating on whether God or Goddess exists or
not, or how did creation arise, or what happens to the soul after death, or whether the
world is illusion or real, etc., etc. All of these questions--being that they are
questions--are simply of the mind. They are conjectures. It is like the famous poisoned
arrow of the Buddha. Does one try to figure out the composition of the arrow when one's
heart is impaled by it, asking from where it came, why and how it was made, who made it;
etc.? Or does one just pull it out?
Becoming aware of space or Consciousness one becomes aware of the changeless,
the Infinite. By becoming aware of the Infinite as our true nature, sorrow ceases to be.
For the Infinite or space cannot be touched. Nothing can be taken away from It. Nor can
anything be added unto It. It encompasses all things and is within all things. There is no
fragmentation. Only wholeness. Only One. Only when there is a second can there be pain.
Ramana Maharshi used repeatedly the analogy of the cinema screen. Whatever
movie is played upon the screen, whether a movie of lovers, the life of a saint, or a
bloody war, the images can never affect the screen. The screen is Consciousness. By being
aware of the screen as Oneself, as the only Reality, one is no longer moved by the world,
the film. One no longer attempts to hold onto the images for one's happiness, nor does one
become afraid of the images.
Only the Infinite becomes meaningful.
HOW TO BECOME AWARE OF THE INFINITE?
The problem with the question is that it is the finite self asking how to
become the Infinite Self. Or the imperfect self that must always evolve, growing into the
Perfect One that never needs to grow.
It cannot be done.
The Infinite or Consciousness is always present. Being Infinite there is no
time when Consciousness is not. Therefore, the only way to become aware is to be present.
To be here and now. Nothing needs to be added; no new powers to be gained; no good deeds
to be done. Simply, it is the removal of ignorance-the ignorance that the Divine is out
there.
As Ramana emphasized: Find the root of ignorance. Remove that and the Self will
be known.
Where is the root? The root of ignorance is in the mind. It is the belief that
one is finite and separate. It is the thought: I am this; I am that. The mind always
objectifies and defines, placing everything in a box. And by objectifying it ignores
space, the Infinite. The mind drifts into the past in search of objects of recollections,
and a procession of thoughts will arise like kicked-up dust. Then the mind jumps into the
future seeking objects of possibilities, and thoughts emerge in streams of probabilities.
Never does the mind sit and focus on the present, on just being; for the mind is nothing
but a collection of thoughts gathered through experience. And thoughts are phenomenon.
They come and go, moving through time.
It is by quieting the mind, ignoring all thoughts and recognizing that they are
meaningless that Consciousness will be found. Ramana stressed the importance of
self-inquiry as a method to reach That. Being that the mind is nothing more than a
collection of thoughts, self-inquiry is a technique of tracing the thoughts as they arise
back to their Source. The mind is turned inward by asking :"To whom do these thought
arise?" The next response of the mind is: "To me." Then asking: "Who
am I?" The true answer is no answer. It is silence. It is space. It is not an
affirmation I am God or I am an angel or I am That, etc. For an affirmation is strictly
mental. This is the last attempt of the mind trying to stay alive.
Even the subtlest of mind, that which is perceiving the silence or void, must
go by asking the question: "Who is perceiving the silence? I am. Who am I?" Only
when the inquiry cannot arise, is one there. The space within and around space.
Only then, when we have realized the Infinite, is our true nature known. By
holding onto the Real will true peace be attained. For by being Infinite there is nothing
to be gained, no desires to be satiated, no cravings of the mind to burn. And by being
Infinite fear has ceased, because no thing exists outside.
All is but the Self. One without a second.

"Will
Clones Have Souls?"
The Spiritual Future of
Artificial Intelligence
by Michael Levy
There
is much controversy today over the cloning of human beings. Scientists
have successfully cloned sheep and other animals and it can only be a
matter of time before we have walking, talking replicas of ourselves. I
am not getting into the discussion of whether it is wrong or right, for
that will be a debate that will rage for a long time to come. Science
and religion have always been at loggerheads with each other. There is
no wrong or right and many wars are caused by strong beliefs that rely
on the ego's view of the world. The only truth is spirit's truth, not
just the stand-alone human ego.
The Question here is will a clone have a soul?
I asked this question recently on a spiritual forum and the views of
some very well respected spiritual folks were quite mixed. I concluded
that it all depends on how we define a soul and who we think we are.
These are deep probing questions and many philosophers of the past have
come up with a variety of answers, but humanity as a whole has not
settled on any one answer to date.
So what is the answer. Lets look into the future and take one scenario:
A person by the name of Will is fifty years old and lives as an atheist.
Will has undergone many cosmetic surgeries for vanity. Does Will have a
soul? Of course he does; right? He may not recognize God, but that does
not mean God does not exist. Atheists may not know if they have a soul,
that does not mean they do not have one.
Now Will is very wealthy and decides he would like a clone of himself so
his image is left behind after he dies. The clone is made and is
physically identical to how Will looked when he was young -all natural
with no cosmetic surgery. The clone studies hard, grows up very
religious and becomes a priest. Does the minister not have a soul? Will
God disown the minister? Who is to cast the first stone? Is the
"Will" of God the same as the "Will" of the clone?
What about the advancement with microchips? Very soon we will have
robots that can think for themselves. Maybe solar powered, or they may
even be powered by inhaling oxygen. Science fiction is fast becoming
science reality. Androids may well look just like humans, but that is
artificial life and a machine will not have a soul – or will it? It
may well be the machines become more intelligent than humans and we are
ruled by them. Extreme thoughts though possible sometime in the future.
Now more than ever folks need to understand who they are and the reason
they exist. If we go through life with no idea of who we truly are, we
will get more and more lost in the high-tech revolution. We need a sound
foundation to build our lives upon.
Every life-form contains a soul, and even a clone will have a soul once
the breath of life is infused into the body. We will never be able to
know who was born and who is a clone. Spirit is in all life and those
that want to think humans have an exclusive contract with spirit will
feel anger and hatred towards a cloned human, if they can distinguish
one from a naturally created human. Many folks will say a clone has no
soul therefore is not really human.
Many folks think they are superior to a dog or cat. Many folks believe
animals don't possess a soul. All this blind "dogma" has been
programmed in humans for thousands of years. That is why most folks
can't be happy. They have to guard their possessions and many humans
believe that they possess God exclusively of all other species of life.
Some even go so far as to think some other humans are not in God's camp
at all. Many different tribes of thought, lined up in divisions of ego's
blind thinking and so much time wasted worrying and hating others.
Oh! by the way, did I mention genetic engineering? I heard today they
can put genes in our foods to make us fit and well. Maybe also to
control our minds in case we feel like rioting against the clones..?
Athletes are experimenting with all kinds of stuff to make them compete
faster. One-hundredth of a second can mean the difference of big money
sponsorship, and athletes will try anything to make themselves winners.
The latest thing I read was wasp juice from the larvae of killer hornets
gives a big boost. Some seek a menu of caterpillar fungus, seal penis
and extract of sea horse. How lip-smackingly scrumptious!
With such competition in sports, it will not be long before gene therapy
is introduced and injected into sports folk. We will be able to
tailor-make our bodies. No need of the surgeon's scalpel. So we will
re-manufacture a human being to suit a trend. We will become designer
beings. Stem cells are cloned cells so many humans will be injected with
cloned cells. Does this mean they will lose their soul? The
possibilities of modern science boggles the mind. The cures for many
diseases maybe just a few years away. No illness means longer lives. Can
the planet cope with a population explosion?
This is just a brief glimpse into the future. What would folks say who
lived two hundred years ago and could comment on today's lifestyles?
Whatever will be will be. Science will advance and humans will survive
in spite of their ego selves.
The moments of life are precious and few. We are put on earth to enjoy
our lives and what wonderment there is to see a sunrise, to hear the
birds sing, to gaze at a sunset. The free things in life are enough.
Simplicity in all things is the answer in any era. Everything else is
just the icing on the cake. How big a slice do we need?
Remember: Enjoy life and don't fret about so-called advancements. All is
perfection in the soul's world and that is the real eternal world. We
are all souls together and NOTHING CAN ALTER SPIRIT.
We all need to recognize we are the energy that drives the motor, we are
not the motor. We are the energy that feeds the mind, we are not the
mind. We are the energy that feeds the thoughts, we are not the
thoughts. We take a ride on the carousel of life, but we must remember
not to go round so fast or it will make us sick and dizzy. The seesaw
makes for one down and one up and we don't want others down at our
expense. Best we all ascend in spirits' elevator together.

"The
Nature of Spirit"
by The Goodfellowes (Channeled by
Tom Gabriel)
Greetings!
It is always our pleasure to communicate. It is what we do,
and most assuredly we enjoy it (or we wouldn't do it). But especially we enjoy, indeed we
love, communicating with you. Not you, humanity -- nor you, New Age seekers -- you, the
individual reading these words right now (including the channel, typing them into his
computer). We are aware of the impact of our communication. In ways we cannot
satisfactorily explain in your language, we know "what's going on" when our
thoughts translate into words and reach out to all who choose to read them.
Our chosen title, "The Nature of Spirit", is indeed
what we wish to speak of. For so long, particularly in the Western culture of your world,
spirit is widely and most popularly held to be something apart from your mundane
day-to-day existence, yes? Surely a most important and perhaps challenging aspect of your
existence, one to which most of you feel you should "give your best", but
something quite apart from mowing the lawn or speaking of sports scores to a neighbor, or
boasting of other kinds of scoring with the fellows (if you are a fellow) at the local
bar, certainly.
It is better, rarer, finer, something you don't want to sully
with ordinary or less than enlightened behavior, true?
No.
Spirit is everywhere. It is everything you do, everything you
think, everything you feel, everything you say. It might be better and more understandable
to say that there is nowhere spirit is not. Truly so!
Think about that the next time you tell a dirty, sexist joke, yes?
(And we don't only speak to the males here.) Well, maybe God will forgive you if you are a
nice person otherwise, or do some loving, special thing for someone, yes?
Except that God never said anything against dirty jokes. Even
the fundamentalists among you cannot point to a section of the Bible (not even the Old
Testament) where God says, "Thou shalt not tell dirty, sexist jokes." It just
isn't there. Maybe some of you feel it should be, or that it is implied by the general
tenor of the book, but you won't find it.
Now, who has decided that certain activities aren't spiritual?
And what are their standards for this? Usually, authority figures in a given church or set
of spiritual "believers" are the arbiters here, and the standard has something
to do with maintaining a certain -- um -- standard of personal behavior, as well as
furthering your spiritual growth. All good things, indeed! But there is something that
needs to be said here.
As spirit, as spirituality, is everywhere, nothing you do and
nowhere you go is not spiritual, that is to say, is not a part of your spirituality. It's
everywhere, because God (or as we prefer, Source/Goddess/God) is everywhere. It's in all
that you do, because God is in all that you do. Apply that equally to all you think, feel,
say, etc., and you begin to get the picture.
"What, do you mean because I'm God, that God likes
dirty jokes? God is apart from those things, He doesn't even think about them."
Oh, yes you do.
But let us move forward into a slightly more appropriate
discussion. If, as we have implied, Source/Goddess/God is in everything (and this is so),
that means that God is "doing it all", doesn't it? Surely all the beauty and art
and joy and laughter in the world -- but indeed, all the war, suffering, and death, too!
God is causing all of it!
And God is also feeling all of it.
And God is also seeing all of it and, personified by yourselves in
greater and greater numbers, is looking hard at it all and asking why it has to be this
way -- and not getting very many useful answers.
You see, having God apart from all that is happening in your
world is perhaps convenient for those of you who feel you have something to hide, or who
have something you want to "get away with doing", but in the end it is playing
hide-and-seek with yourself, which is a perfectly ridiculous game on the surface of it,
except that this is just what you -- and You -- are doing!
It rather gives a whole new meaning to the phrase,
"you can run, but you can't hide", yes? When you're the cop as well as the
criminal, you're already caught, indeed. But why should you be either one?
Why should you feel that there is something in you that needs to be
caught, or punished, or ridiculed?
We will tell you that the very act of thinking it
makes it true, because you are a piece of God, and you create it so. You are more powerful
than you believe, and because you do not believe it, your power is -- and we don't mean to
be melodramatic here -- out of control.
We don't mean to suggest that there should be no
standards of behavior, no ethics or codes of conduct -- indeed, the more enlightened you
become, the more you will see the necessity for enlightened self-interest, and you will
see your Self everywhere, in everything.
This is a much better basis for treating yourselves,
others, and your planet with respect and love than an arbitrary system of rewards and
punishments, even if, at your present level of awareness, you feel you need such a system.
It is always possible to move on, no matter who says you're unworthy or not ready.
You can be worthy -- and ready -- in the blink of an
eye. All you have to do is truly give up the idea that you are not, and start living your
life that way, give up the stagnation of self-judgment and embrace the creativity, the
fun, and the joy of self-realization.
You are God. You forgot that you were -- for a very
divine purpose -- but we can tell you that it is time for you to start remembering again.
You will not lose the beauty and diversity of your humanity when you do remember --
rather, you will fulfill it. As you were never apart from God, so shall you begin to
realize now your oneness with God. It has always been.
It is now for you to real-ize it. And it can be
terrifically creative, fun, joyous, challenging, and beautiful. You get to call the shots,
so that is how it can be, contrary to all the beliefs about the suffering and pain and
hardships that await you on the "spiritual path".
You have never been off that path. It would be an
impossibility to be so. But now you get to own being on it! (Big difference -- bigger than
you realize. It changes EVERYTHING.) And once you own it, you get to create "how it
is". And we can tell you that most of you are disillusioned with the arduous,
difficult, painful way of old, absolutely.
Why on earth (or elsewhere) would God want to beat
him/herself up once she/he knows who he/she is? That is the point at which God begins to
rejoice, and to recreate the world in which She has forgotten Herself into the Paradise He
knows it can be.
That, dear friends, is what you are about right now.
We wish you well, knowing that you will do well, and we wish you love, knowing that that
is what you will discover.
Have a good time!

"What
is Love"
by Allan
Hardman
Many of us have heard
the rather believable story that Eskimos of the far north have a very large
number of words for snow and ice. This makes sense to us, since anyone living
or working in a specialized environment would be likely to create a language
that helped them communicate about their experiences.
Given that idea, have you noticed how few words we have in the English
language for "Love?" My Thesaurus lists 13, including many love-lite
words like "fondness" and "warmth." Is it possible that we
do not have a large vocabulary of words for love because we do not live in an
environment (of love) where we need a special language?
We use "love" for just about everything: "I love your new hair
color." "I love chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream." "I
love you." "I love to ski." "I love it when you are nice
to me." "Do you love me?" Some authors have attempted to add
more precise words to our daily language, like "agape,"
"Eros," and "familial," but I have never heard anyone
speak them out loud.
So just what is this "love" thing? What are we talking about, and
can we refine our understanding and language as a way to actually learn to
love each other and ourselves more authentically?
I believe that we are born as Love. Imagine with me that there is a Creator of
some sort, and that Creator exists on the unmanifest side of the veil of
creation-- and we live on the manifest side. Let us also imagine that this
Creator is Life itself, or the Essence of Unconditional Love. If that Creator
wanted those of us on this side of the veil to have the experience of the pure
love that exists on the unmanifest side of the veil, what better channel to
create than a new born baby? You, born as one of those channels, came here to
this manifest reality with no stories, no judgments or opinions, no politics,
and no agenda about anything. When your mother bent over your crib to lift you
to her bosom, I doubt that what was going through your mind was "Jeez,
mom, who did you hair? Bad, very bad!"
As that infant, you were the embodiment of Life Without Expectations. And
everyone wanted to pick you up, look you in the eye, and hold your eye contact
for as long as possible. If you turned away, they tried to bring your
attention back with all sorts of strange noises and facial contortions. They
saw, unconsciously, that you were that channel of love, and they wanted to
bask in your non-judgmental openness. They wanted to drink at your Fountain of
Love. (Now as adults, of course, eye contact is strictly limited to brief
glances, except for extreme flirting moments).
So there you are, the channel for Creator's delight, pouring your
unconditional acceptance into the world. And everybody is eating it up like
starving souls at a free banquet. And you don't even know what you are doing,
because you don't know anything yet. You are just pure presence, existing,
being Life itself.
Unfortunately, this Paradise cannot exist for very long. Like the story of
Adam and Eve, the time comes when you must eat from the fruit of the tree of
knowledge, and learn about good and evil, and right and wrong. In the Toltec
tradition of Miguel Ruiz, we call this process "Domestication." It
is the duty of the parents, and then the society, to teach you the rules of
their game: The Dream of the Planet. It is hard to teach you anything when you
are basking in the glory of Your Divine Oneness, so they insist you make a new
agreement with them. They require that you believe they are the source of
love, not you. You also agree that the Creator who sent you is not the source.
You learn that love is a commodity, you need it to survive, and it is somewhat
scarce. Further, you agree to be good, and not bad, in order to receive your
share of this love commodity. You learn to be afraid that love will be
withdrawn from you, as punishment for being bad. (Note that this is simply the
way of the world, I am not saying it is wrong).
This is the day that Adam and Eve left the Garden, and went forth and
suffered, knowing their guilt and shame... and fearing God.
As the domestication continued, you made more and more agreements with
parents, clergy, teachers, friends, Santa Claus and God, about what it meant
to be Good, and how to secure your share of the commodity of love and
acceptance. You learned to domesticate yourself, to assure that you would
always win the approval of those who controlled the grades, the jobs, the
romance, the money, the applause, and, finally, the epitaphs.
If you are reading this, I assume that something different is stirring and
awakening in you. Perhaps that something is your nature, your birthright as
that channel that is still alive in you (although a little clogged up with old
agreements and beliefs). I believe your nature is to pour that pure love into
this manifest world. If I am right, then I encourage you to remember this
truth about yourself-- that you are still that channel, and nothing has
changed except your awareness of it.
The love that flows through that channel is pure acceptance. With no judgments
or opinions or resistance to Creation, there is nothing left but the
acceptance of what is. Have you ever had the experience of someone accepting
you totally the way you are? Is that not the best feeling? Would you not describe that experience as feeling
purely and completely loved? This love that is acceptance has no expectations
or conditions. It needs nothing in return, and requires no response. You
cannot bargain for this Love, and you also can never run out of it. The
channel is connected to the Infinite Divine Source. That should be enough love
for one lifetime!
So what is Love? I am suggesting to you here that love is your nature, your
birthright. I am reminding you that love coming out of you as acceptance of
what is offers you a connection with Life and the Creator as the Divine Source
that can fill your heart with a joy and abundant happiness that can never be
taken away from you. This love is here, right in this moment, underneath the
fear and doubt from your domestication. It is that infant in you, open and
innocent. It is you. It is the I AM, that which is eternally present in all of
Creation. Sure, go ahead and "love" your new car or your new
romantic interest. Love this web site. And love Life. Love yourself; because
you are Life! You are Love.
Open the channel. Celebrate it, celebrate you!
Dance with joy in Life.
There is only this.

"The
New Kingdom"
Behold the great key-keeper of the age has turned the
key;
the mighty gates fly wide and all who will may greet the
King. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see
the King.
Take heed! Be strong in mind; be pure in heart; be
vigilant in
helpfulness; the kingdom is at hand."
Jesus, the Piscean Avatar.
Just behind the face of this world and its humanity
awaits a new reality, a reality of untainted beauty and light. It has been given
many names but is known equally by all who can feel and recognise its purity. It
is the Promised Land descending from the heavenly realms, the long-promised
return to Earth of the Kingdom of Souls.
This new sphere of life is presently still subtle in the
world but will, over time, become more and more tangibly apparent to all who
have prepared themselves to receive its light by co-vibrating with its purpose.
It will become more and more visible to those who, through their selfless
consecration and divine yearning, have cultivated the inner vision with which to
perceive it.
The new reality is not of this world and so is
completely unaffected and untouched by the sufferings, the pains and the
struggles of earthly life. It contains no duality in which to swing back and
forth in endless polarity. It is free from the extremes of light and dark, right
and wrong, good and bad, and all the other pairs of opposites that perpetually
toss mankind's consciousness from left to right, and which have for ages bound
the mass of humanity to the pendulum of restlessness and suffering.
This approaching sphere of light possesses ethers that
are clean and bright, new and vital. It is catalyzing on Earth a higher level of
consciousness that vibrates closer to the Universal Harmony. Like a divine Sun
its sacred nature is inherent within each and every outgoing energy-stream that
radiates forth from its heart, blessing, purifying, unifying and vitalizing all
beings, liberating mankind from the trammels and struggles of mundane existence
in merciful benediction. As this divine Light returns to Earth, extending its
grace to all as was long ago promised, it gently invites humanity to enter into
its healing, protective sphere, embracing souls in its warmth and love before
again leaving this world with them for Freedom's shores. This reality is today
shimmering forth just beyond the clouds of Earthly perceptions and
preoccupations, preparing to lift those who are able to receive it upwards into
ever greater experience and realisation of the Truth, which it so perfectly
embodies.
As time passes and man and his planet approach the end
of an age, this approaching Light is progressively penetrating the densities of
our world, irresistibly permeating even the grossest, darkest corners of the
Earth. Moving from the inner planes outwards, the new Kingdom of Light dispels
the shadows of this world. The radiance of the leading periphery of this divine
sphere is presently only to be experienced within the upper regions of human
awareness: some of the higher levels of being that inform and sustain this world
and its humanity. Those whose focus is primarily upon the material plane and
their own needs and problems do not possess the inner faculty required to
perceive the growing presence of the new reality in its earlier stages of
manifestation. It therefore remains invisible to the unaware, yet it is
affecting all life on Earth.
For millennia visionaries and spiritually aware people
have anticipated the arrival of this new and higher order of life, but it is
only today in these times that it is slowly but surely making its presence felt.
We are emerging from a great planetary cycle and entering a new era, and the
complete renewal of this world and human race is imminent. A new world is being
born on both inner and outer levels of the Earth, the planetary phoenix is
rising from the ashes of the old world. The advent of the new world is now close
enough for sensitive hearts to feel something of its reality and proximity, to
hear its pure tones, to sense its sweet cadences. It is a whispering promise of
Home, and from beyond the general human perception, behind the appearances and
illusions of this world, it calls to all mankind.
Presently small glimpses of the approaching new reality
may be had, as if through clear, bright windows or portals that occasionally
appear. Those who are sensitive and intuitive are beginning to perceive with
greater clarity and awe through the thinnest parts of the veil that surrounds
the Earth plane, directly into the sphere of eternal Life itself. They are able
to feel its holy breath, hear its call, respond to it and so prepare themselves
for the greater Revelation and Grace to come. Such glimpses are generally brief
and fleeting; most last only a few seconds or minutes of sudden epiphany; some
may continue for hours, and in certain very special cases even days or weeks.
Yet one single moment of that Grace from above is able to bestow such a profound
blessing that all the concerns and tensions of this life are instantaneously
dissolved, and so a glimpse is all that is required for the elated recipient to
know and taste something of the coming glory and divine accomplishment. At such
times one's faith and consecration may be strengthened a hundred-fold as one's
life is positively transformed.
As the end of the cycle approaches, these glimpses will
become more regular, tangible and real for a growing number of people,
interspersed with stages of purification and integration. Gradually their
duration will be extended, until finally the new world will become more real and
true than the old, familiar world, which will be seen to be passing away.
Perceptions will therefore be reversed, and it will be the old world that shall
then be seen only in glimpses, as those who are able will cross over to the
other side of the veil and emerge into the new and brighter reality. Ultimately,
and should the natural process of cleansing and regeneration be allowed to
complete its course, the renewed human race will find itself breathing and
functioning from within the sphere of divine Light itself. It is at this time
that those who have been blessed amongst mankind will come to fully know what it
means to be in the world but not of the world, and will proceed to offer a hand
up to all struggling life on Earth.
The effects that the dawning new reality will have on
the manifest aspects of life on Earth will be dramatic, profoundly affecting all
the kingdoms of this world, from the mineral right up to the human levels of
consciousness. As the new and higher vibrational sphere penetrates the subtle
planes of the planet it will purge the Earth of all unintegrated energies,
thought forms and emotions. This process is already underway and is being
experienced by many people as a kind of inner Armageddon, a growing tension
between the incoming light of the new Kingdom of Souls and the outer material
world.
This is also the time that planet Earth herself has long
awaited: her birth into a higher expression of life, facilitated by the cosmic
energies and forces released by way of the precise mathematical motion of the
cosmic clockwork, the rotational procession of the sun, the planetary spheres
and the zodiac. The Earth is soon to release all of the cumulative pressure that
mankind has placed upon her over millennia of abuse and misuse of her resources
for selfish ends. Soon all of her kingdoms will be restored to their former
virginal state, the Edenic state of pristine wholeness and vibrant,
health-promoting life. Once balance is restored to the Earth and so is brought
back into harmony with cosmic law, it will again provide a stable and supportive
matrix from which the new humanity can reach upwards towards greater light,
access the higher spheres of life and so more readily attain the Goal of life.
On the old Earth the door leading to the Divine has for ages been very obscured
and closed to all but the most advanced souls due to mankind's widespread
pollution of body, mind and soul, and the highly contagious atmosphere of
selfishness, greed and fear that this has engendered worldwide. The new Earth,
free of all grossness and impurity, will once more, like before, come into
alignment with the divine Plan, functioning again as a graceful sphere for
divine realisation; a world in which all inhabiting beings may pursue with
greater ease the sole purpose of life via the process of holy Transfiguration.

"The
Passion of Christ and the Resurrection of Mary Magdala--What's Going On?"
by Arlene
Colver
Everyone’s talking about the new exploration into the
life of Jesus called the Christ. Was he actually God? Did he, in fact, die for
our sins? Was he married to Mary of Magdala and did they have children? Could
his human suffering been prefaced by human joy? How does a human Jesus affect
Christian beliefs?
When I first published Magdalen’s Way I hadn’t
even heard of The DaVinci Code or Dan Brown. Granted, I’d been busy
with my own novel for months, but truth be told mysteries are not my genre, not
for reading or writing. I probably would not have even looked at Mr. Brown’s
book had I not been told of the Magdalen Mystery within its pages.
Since then, I’ve read the book along with
several timely articles that seemed to have been spawned by this best seller,
the interest in Magdalen and the mysteries that surround her and Jesus. Along
with Newsweek and National Geographic, the Discovery Channel and ABC have done
their part to infuse the controversy with artistic portrayals of Mary Magdalen
and Jesus as they might have been two thousand years ago. The and’s, if’s
and but’s have been answered and speculated upon by experts in both religion
and biblical history through the many forms of media available in this
information age.
I have yet to see Mel Gibson’s new release, The
Passion of Christ. So for that reason I cannot rightfully judge the film or
its content. Still, I am now being asked about the character of Pontius Pilate,
the hidden agenda of the Jewish Sanhedrin, and of course about Magdalen’s role
in the Passion both on screen and off. I do have opinions on these matters based
on the dreams that inspired Magdalen’s Way. But for me the deeper
question is, “What’s going on?”
Why has the consciousness shifted to a revival of
Christian and Jewish myths and mysteries? Why are we suddenly obsessed with the
desire to know more about the personal lives of our mythical figures? How does
all this affect us today and what difference does it really make?
I believe that we have lost Our Way, and we are looking
to our old religious beliefs searching for signposts to lead us home. However,
like the doubting St. Thomas, we will not be satisfied until we have delved our
fingering minds into the pain, until we have thrust our emotions into the very
heart of the truth. Today, we want proof and will not be led down any path until
we are convinced of its destination and what that destination promises to
provide. I believe that what is going on is not an insatiable appetite for
historical fact but a newly realized desire for trust in the magic and mysticism
that has been dormant in our hearts and heads for centuries.
We are truly on the search for the Holy Grail, that
sacred vessel into which we can pour our spirituality and from which we can
drink and share in the very life’s blood of an eternal soul. By traveling down
the roads that Jesus walked, by journeying with him as he carried his cross, by
following the way of Magdalen, we hope to come upon the lost grail, the secret
of spiritual success.
Some weeks ago I posited questions regarding the
Magdalen and Jesus controversy to Internet groups that deal with spiritual
and/or religious concerns. My first
question was: what would you most like to know about Mary Magdalen?
Out of ten responses, five said they would like to know
Magdalen’s truth, her beliefs and spiritual path. The remainder offered me
their opinions on who Magdalen was or was not. These focused on her spiritual
contribution to early Christianity and the work of the apostles.
So, at least for the small group I polled, it would seem
that we are more interested in spiritual solving than in historical fact. We are
looking to Magdalen and Jesus to guide us home. When asked what was more
important to them, Magdalen’s spiritual impact or historical proof regarding
her important role in the life of Jesus and the apostles, the overwhelming
number simply stated, “spiritual”. This final short response surely shows
that our search for the Holy Grail is a desire to rekindle the faith that has
been dimmed by dubious biblical “facts”.
When I asked about the importance of a Mary Magdalen and
Jesus bloodline the answers varied only a little. Most felt that they had a
curiosity about this possibility and little more than that. A few said that the
idea of a bloodline might create a “doctrine of aristocracy” within
Christian society and jeopardize the notion of equality among its members. Of
course, some gave me their opinion for or against such a theory and sited
reasons for their beliefs. My conclusion is that most of us do not want a
genetic trail that leads back to Magdalen and Jesus; we want a path that leads
us to a better place in faith. We are not trying to put down the Christian
church or prove that we are descended from royalty; we are simply trying to find
a way to relate to our spiritual heroes and heroines, hoping they will show us
that way through the simple act of living.
Resurrecting Magdalen has become a new Easter, for with
her spiritual footsteps once again tracing the path of religion, we are being
led to the feminine, right-brained, notions of intuition, magic and mysticism.
Suffering the Passion of Christ has its purpose too, for through the Way of the
Cross we are led to the masculine, left-brained, challenges of struggling
through human life while walking a spiritual path. Together this Holy Couple are
giving us a great grace, an ever-evolving Way that will indeed lead us to what
we seek – A Chalice filled with Faith in God, Hope for the future, and Love
for all. Together Jesus called the Christ and Mary of Magdala are now offering
us a Rite of Remembrance as they offer us that sacred cup, The Holy Grail. I
believe that it is their consciousness of our needs that has peaked an interest
in the evolution of religion and what it has to offer humankind.

"How
to Work with Power Plants"
by Stephanie
Yeh
The plant world, as a facet of "All That
Is" is central to many shamanic, magical and tribal traditions.
Plants were placed on Earth to be our companions and healers, and when
we take the time to honor that sacred role, we heal both ourselves and
our planet. Whether you are working with plants to create herbs, flower
essences, essential oils or incense, you must first and foremost be in
communication with those plants. While plants, in and of themselves,
have a great deal of healing and spiritual power, when we take the time
to honor and communicate with the plants we want to partake of, those
plants grow exponentially in power and force.
So how do you honor and communicate with power plants? It's not
difficult. As Devta Khalsa,
healer of many traditions, describes in her upcoming ebook,
communicating with plants is really no different than communicating with
another person-just more tender. Before you harvest any plant, take some
time to sit quietly by the plant. Breathe deeply and center yourself.
Then ask the plant for permission to use some of its body. Tell
the plant what you would like to use it for. Wait for permission.
Whether or not you hear a response, know that the plant's devas always
hear and respond to you. Ask the plant to infuse its body with healing
and harmonious power suitable for your purpose.
If you wait silently enough, quieting your mind, you'll most likely hear
a response. Even if you don't, though, just taking the time to honor and
communicate with the plant will make your gathering more powerful and
effective. No matter what you hear, thank the plant for its role in your
healing and life.
It's also customary to leave an offering at the base of the plant, so
that there is in equal exchange of energy. Sacred tobacco and cornmeal
are perfect for this, but you can also use a hair from your head if you
didn't bring any other offering.

"Having
Fun: A Mission-Driven Lightworker's Challenge"
by Jelaila
Starr
It may seem a little silly that I’d be writing an
article on the challenges of having fun, but it’s no laughing matter. The sad
truth is that fun has become a real challenge for many of us, myself included.
We experience many difficulties ranging from blocked creativity, a loss
of passion and excitement, to stress-related heath problems and major financial
challenges. And when it comes to
our spiritual missions, these issues threaten our ability to successfully
fulfill our purpose for being here on Earth.
Why is it so hard to have fun? Why does it make us uncomfortable when we try?
How did we forget what fun is? Just
recently, I went through a very painful lesson around fun and how the lack of it
created a block that threatened my ability to complete my mission.
Through addressing the problem multi-dimensionally with my guides’
assistance, I was able to recognize the importance of fun and through it restore
balance in my life.
Writer’s Block
Like many others living their missions, I have dedicated
the last 11 years of my life to fulfilling my mission. Dedicated, excited and passionately committed I’ve
diligently stayed the course, doing my part to help Earth and her people ascend.
As a messenger and channel for an off-world council comprised of racially
diversified 9th dimensional beings, I look upon these individuals as
my guides and mentors. In order to share their compassionate and multidimensional
wisdom with the world, I’ve charged ahead, writing books, booklets and
articles as they were assigned to me. As
I completed each one, I’d again feel that profound sense of accomplishment
that comes from doing my mission and that makes me feel that my life means
something. I was having fun…or
was I?
Until recently I have always been able to complete
the writing assignments, the majority of which are articles, in a timely manner
easily bringing them through with only a couple of rewrites at most.
But towards the end of 2003 I began to notice a change.
I was writing less often and when I did, not only was it getting harder
to bring them through without having to go through several rewrites, they no
longer had the same conciseness and crystal-clear clarity for which the 9D
Nibiruan writings had become known. By
January 2004, after writing the Council’s 9D Perspective on 2004 article
(which took 4 rewrites), I was in a creative slump and a long dry spell ensued.
This was certainly not fun!
Normally when I have an idea for an article (they come
from the Council in the form of article ideas), I must sit down at the computer
and type it out. But now I could no
longer write and though the writing assignments kept coming, I could not get
them out of my head and into the computer. For most people this might not be a
problem, but for me it is. If I don’t
get the article out of my head and into the computer, after a few days I become
what I call creatively constipated.
Once in that state, I become forgetful and tune out during conversations.
It’s as though the articles have taken up all the available storage
space in my brain leaving no room for anything else. Soon after, the dreams
begin. I dream intensely vivid
lucid dreams about the article content, one after another, waking up between
each one. And to top it off, I
become physically constipated. Let me tell you, it’s not a pleasant
experience.
But try as I might I could not write.
Each time I even thought about writing, my heart would sink and I’d cry
inside. Month after month went by with no article published.
I learned long ago that the financial support for my family and mission
comes as a result of writing. To
keep the money flowing I needed to publish 1 to 2 articles a month. By now we
were feeling the pinch.
Finally, after months of physical constipation, lack of
focus, sleep deprivation, endless frustration and the mounting fear that I had
lost my ability to write, I became depressed and seriously thought about giving
up. I felt hopeless, sad, and
empty. I believed that I had failed
in my duties as a messenger and soon the Council would have to move on to
someone else to ensure the success of their work.
I didn’t want that to happen so in one last desperate attempt to find a
solution, I begged them to help me see why I was in this predicament.
In their usual patient, and gentle but direct manner replied, “Jelaila,
the reason is that you’re not having fun.”
I was stunned. I couldn’t believe what I had just heard.
Floored by their response, I said, “You’re joking, right?” There
was no reply just silence. Of all the things they could have said, having fun
was not one I would have expected. I
just couldn’t wrap my brain around that one.
But from their silence I knew that they were serious, and after having
worked with them for several years, I knew better than to toss their answer
aside because they were usually correct.
Over the course of the next several days, I thought a
lot about their answer. It’s not
like I had anything else to do, right? I
decided to carefully examine my beliefs around work and fun. I knew from experience that the only way to change my
circumstances was to search for and find the beliefs, fears and behavior
patterns that led to this writing block. And
I knew from their training to start my search in the past, in my childhood.
The results were oh so surprising.
The Source: The Fear of Poverty
This part was easy.
My parents believed and lived by the work ethic of “hard work and no
play” a belief they instilled in me from the time I was very young.
Fueled by the fear and pain of grinding childhood poverty that my father
experienced as a child during the Great Depression, he put work ahead of play in
order to eat and survive. As an
adult he successfully pulled himself out of that state by focusing on work as
the priority. It gave him a lot of
pride and self-esteem to be able to give to my brothers and I what he as a child
never had.
Like most people of their generation and society in
general, my parents derived their sense of self-worth through their
accomplishments. It’s not what you are but what you do and what you have that
determines your worth. Consequently fun and play were luxuries like a box of
rich chocolates only to be indulged in occasionally because one cannot derive
worth from them. And when they did try to have fun, it was usually work related.
When I took a realistic look at my childhood, I realized
that I never learned what fun was or how to play because my parents didn’t
know. And because of the hard times
they experienced as children, the fear of poverty was still there, kept at bay
by hard work and little play. So
though I had many comforts in childhood, I still grew up with that same fear of
poverty. Like my parents, I acted
out of that fear by building my life around my work. And also like my parents, I acquired my self-worth
through my accomplishments. But
unlike them, urged on by my guides, I have tried to make having fun more a part
of my life. Unfortunately, I’ve
not been successful. Not knowing
what fun is, in my attempts to have it, I unknowingly substituted satisfaction,
the feeling that I get when I accomplish something, with the feeling of fun.
After all, it is fun to accomplish something, isn’t it?
And if that wasn’t bad enough, I’ve unconsciously
needed to ensure that all “fun” time somehow be productive. I’ve mastered the art of combining fun with work.
For example, instead of taking a trip just to see friends and have fun, I’d
have to squeeze in a workshop to facilitate.
I just couldn’t allow myself the luxury of having fun just for the sake
of fun itself. It’d always have to be scheduled around and justified by work
related activities.
Turning Hobbies and Other Projects into
Obsessive Goals
This one is almost too embarrassing to write.
I’d even turn my hobbies into work because I didn’t know how to have
real fun. Hobbies are supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable but for me they were
not. For example, I love to knit
and to garden but since both of these hobbies bring with them the satisfaction
of accomplishment, I unconsciously view them as work.
This meant that each project would become a goal that had to be completed
within a certain timeframe. In
order to achieve that goal I’d knit for hours until my hands were stiff and my
neck and shoulders ached. In the
garden, I’d work until my back nearly spasmed from the strain and my knees
were red and swollen. And through
it all, I thought I was having fun because I was, what else, accomplishing
something! It’d be laughably
funny if it weren’t so terribly sad! But the next day I’d feel a deep sense
of sadness, almost depression and I never knew why.
Talking with a good friend about this helped to uncover
how I brought this same obsessive need for accomplishment into work related
projects. I have a recurring
pattern of starting new projects and then getting burned out. This happens because I am so emotionally, mentally and
physically invested in their outcome that I totally and completely exhaust
myself. I do this because, driven
by the need to accomplish and derive value and a sense of self-worth through the
project, I set no limits on the amount of time and energy I invest.
Like I do with my hobbies, I become obsessed by the need to reach the
goal, whatever it may be. But the end result is always the same. After a while I lose my passion, the driving force behind the
project. Once that is gone, I no
longer feel excited and creative. At
that point the end is near, creatively spent I spiral downward into a pit of
hopelessness and despair. Isn’t
that where I had ended up just recently?
It all made sense now.
Through my search I uncovered the fear of poverty that was at the root of
my problem with having fun. I
discovered the “hard work and no play” belief and behavior pattern that I
used to prevent the fear from manifesting in my life. Because self worth comes
from accomplishments, not play, I confused satisfaction with fun.
But in order to have fun, it had to be work related. I learned that to
me, fun was an indulgence not to be experienced just for itself, so to have fun
I had to combine it with work. And
in regards to my mission, I dare not play for fear I would miss an important
writing assignment (a project). Yes
I was a mission-driven, work and goal oriented lightworker and one who wasn’t
having fun. So my guides were correct…again. With beliefs and behaviors such as these it was no wonder I
had gotten myself into such a predicament.
Now that I understood how through the combination of my
beliefs and actions, I had created this writer’s block, I could move to the
next step. But not only did I want
to clear the block, I wanted to ensure that it didn’t happen again so that I
could have real fun and still successfully complete my mission.
Changing the Patterns
Once again I asked my guides for help.
Answering they said, “Look to your Inner Child and how she manages your
2nd chakra energy.” I
knew from their multidimensional teachings that they perceived the Inner Child
to be much more that is commonly thought by people in our world.
And from applying this knowledge and reconnecting with my own Inner Child
I had for the first time experienced the feeling of self-love and my life and
relationships improved dramatically.
Multi-dimensionally speaking, the Inner Child is the
little child in each of us that is joyful, creative and passionate.
Our Inner Child also perceives him/herself as our physical body and thus,
speaks to us through the language of physical sensations.
On an energetic level, our Child Within regulates our chakras, opening
and closing them in response to the level of energy we have available.
This level is determined by our beliefs, behaviors and our emotional
state.
From my guides, I had learned that all of our creations
manifest from our 2nd chakra, the seat of our creativity.
To manifest our creations so that they match our visions of them we must
be excited, inspired and passionate. We
experience these things when our 2nd chakra is fully open and
balanced. Of course, that’s
easier said than done because this chakra is easily pulled out of balance and
the one thing that does it the most is stress.
Stress pulls this chakra out of balance because it is fear-based.
Fear is the emotion that alerts the Inner Child to protect the body.
In doing so he/she pulls in and closes up the chakras just as you would
close and lock your doors when threatened by an intruder.
When this occurs, the flow of Universal Life Force (energy that we all
require in order to survive and thrive) is cut off.
When done for shorts periods of time it is not harmful but when it
repeatedly happens and for long periods of time, the entire chakra system
becomes unbalanced. Only by opening
up again can Life Force come in and balance be reestablished.
This is where I made another startling discovery—play reopens the 2nd
chakra!
To the Inner Child the act of playing is refreshing.
Playing engrosses us in the act itself and we forget about our problems.
When we play we experience the feeling of fun and fun comes from the joy
of being totally carefree. In other
words it clears out the fear from the stress of work and daily living and allows
the 2nd chakra to reopen and reset. But there’s a catch. It must be the type of play where there’s no stress
involved. This means that when we
play, whatever we are doing must not have any expectation as to its outcome.
In other words, we play just for the sake of having fun. An example would
be playing basketball without caring whether you win or lose.
You play just for the sheer enjoyment of it.
My Inner Child could only go so long managing the stress
created by my mission combined with a daily life without play periods to reset
and balance. When it came to my
writing, she needed regular periods of play to keep the creative juices flowing
and to ensure that when I did write, the articles came through easily and were
clear and concise. If I went for
too long without having fun and playing, she ran out of steam and I experienced
this change as loss of excitement, passion and creativity i.e., a writing block.
Ensuring the Future
I now understood that I needed to do 2 things to ensure
the future of my writing ability and my mission.
- I
needed to maintain a healthy balance of play in my life in order to keep my
2nd chakra open.
- I
must remember that satisfaction is not the same as fun and to keep the two
separate in work and play.
So how am I going to put these things into action now?
I’ve decided to take a trip to Iowa to visit my friends and play for a
couple of days...and not bring my laptop computer!
It’s been well worth the pain of doing it wrong in
order to learn how to do it right. I’ve
begun to feel the passion and excitement again that I felt when I first began my
mission. And though it’s taken
more than a dozen revisions and rewrites to finish this article, at least I’m
writing again. If you are one of those who like me have forgotten how to play,
it is my fervent hope that through sharing my story, you’ll find answers. With
fun and play as important to us as our work, we will be able to continue on to
the successful completion of our missions.

"How
To Be Your Own Pet Psychic"
by Stephanie
Yeh
Those of you who watch the "Animal Planet" channel have
probably seen the Pet Psychic show, where a lady psychic communicates
telepathically with a variety of animals. She acts as a counselor,
communicator, spiritual healer and "hierophant" between the
human and animal kingdoms (the hierophant is the communicator between
beings and worlds in the tarot deck). Watching this lady is great fun,
but not as much fun as doing it yourself. Did you know you can learn to
communicate with animals, too?
Magic is real and everyone is a magician. It's just part of your natural
birthright as a planetary citizen. Part of that birthright is access to
a host of psychic abilities. The keyword here is "access." We
all have the psychic abilities that enable us to know what we can't
possibly know
through the five senses, touch non-physical worlds, and communicate with
our animals. It's just that without practice most of us don't know how
to access those abilities.
In her upcoming e-book, "Animal Communication: A Primer,"
Esoteric School Expert Leta Worthington discusses how our brain works
and how to get into the right brainwave to access the ability to
communicate with animals. She explains that our "normal"
brainwaves, the ones we use for day-to-day tasks such as driving,
calculating and thinking, are too fast for us to do animal
communication. What we need to do is slide into a slower, more relaxed,
and more open brainwave. When we get into this brainwave, we're more
open to other worlds and other types of "psychic" senses. In
fact, we need to get into this brainwave not just for animal
communication, but for most kinds of psychic work.
So how can you start getting into that brainwave? Practice, practice,
practice. Here's a short list to get you started:
- Meditation: You don't need to be a yogi to do this. Just light a
candle, burn some incense, or listen to dripping water. Follow your
breath. Let these soothing sights, sounds, smells and sensations
transport you to a lower, slower brainwave.
- Color: Surround yourself with water blue or sky blue. These colors can
help you relax, slow down, and be open to information from other, more
spiritual realms.
-Rooting: If you want to get connected with "all that is,"
nothing puts you closer to the earth than rooting. Rooting is the
process of extending your roots deep into the ground, and connecting and
exchanging energies with Mother Earth. It takes all of three minutes,
can rebalance your energies, and soothes your spirit.
Doing these and other practices on a regular basis can help you more
easily access your psychic self. Try to integrate them into life several
times a day. Learn to slow down and take breaks. Not only will you stay
healthier and more spiritually fit, but these new slower states won't
seem so foreign anymore. It will begin to feel like home, and then watch
out! Your psychic abilities can really start to bloom!

"Meaning
of Life"
by Jason Light
The
Meaning of Life is one of the great mysteries that philosophers and seekers of
truth have been searching for over the centuries, the problem being is that the
tendency has been to look externally for the answer when all that is needed is
to look within.
All
the answers that you seek are within you, only clues to these answers will be
found outside, each one in its own special way specifically designed to make you
question yourself and look within. But unless we recognise these clues for what
they truly are, we will follow them like a signpost and head off in another
external direction looking for answers that aren’t out there and blindly
ignoring the truth that the answers that we are seeking are within us all.
The
Universe is very simple in its structure, circles within circles wheels within
wheels each one turning in precise precision to allow the next movement to take
place. From the cycles of seasons to the orbits of the planets to the perpetual
cycle of birth, death & rebirth, each circle must be completed before the
next can begin.
As
the universe is simple it its structure, so is the Meaning of Life.
Unfortunately we humans tend to think that the answer must be long and
complicated because the question seems to us to be so complex, and as such we
tend to overlook the simplistic answers, disregarding them as trivial and
irrelevant.
We
tend to think too much, over analysing every single thought and process for
faults and so called reason. Our logical mind overriding our innate natural
ability to feel as we try to control our emotions with our mental thought
process, instead of letting our core feelings guide us to where we naturally
want and need to be.
Our
feelings are the most important part of our lives, for without them how would we
experience, learn, develop or grow?
How
would we know the sun was shining on our skin if we didn’t feel its warmth?
How
could we experience the connection between beings if we didn’t feel love?
Love
isn’t rational, it’s not logical, it can’t be measured, weighed or wrapped
but without its life giving properties, people, like plants without water would
wither.
Love
itself can’t be touched but people can be touched by it, it can be freely
given and received but is not physical in form. It touches the heart when it’s
given and opens the heart when it’s received; it reaches our spiritual side
and awakens us to the wonders of the universe, love is the ultimate emotion.
Our
emotions make us who we are; they make us human, they allow us to feel, to
experience, to love. Only by allowing ourselves to feel these emotions do we
start to open ourselves to the meaning of life, which is: Awaken to your
Spiritual Heart.
Your
Spiritual Heart is not to be confused with your physical heart which pumps blood
around your body, nor is it to be mistaken for the heart chakra which acts as
the gateway that connects us to our outgoing emotions and incoming universal
love.
Our
Spiritual Heart is the one true centre of our spiritual being, the heart of our
higher self; it is from our spiritual heart that pure unconditional love flows
out into the world. It resides deep within our light body and draws part of its
energy from the universal love that flows through the heart chakra, the rest it
creates through pure divine intent.
To
start to awaken to your Spiritual Heart and thus understand the meaning of life,
you must first learn to switch off and calm the thought process within your
logical, rational and structured mind, for it is this part of your mind that has
been programmed by the society in which we live and thus blocks you from opening
your spiritual heart.
Society
isn’t happy unless it can put everything and everyone into a pigeon hole with
some type of label on it to explain itself and its actions. But some things in
life like love don’t fit into boxes and therefore can’t be rationally
explained but they still exist within the universe and do hold sway over our
experiences and lives on a daily basis.
There
are many ways in which to calm the mind, meditation, yoga, tai chi or any of the
numerous other forms of self relaxation techniques available today will help. It
doesn’t matter which form you prefer as long as it relaxes you enough to calm
the logical mind, enabling you to feel your Spiritual Heart as it begins the
process of awakening.
Only
by learning to calm the mind and open to the feelings within the body can you
expect to reach the heights of pure pleasure and oneness that comes from opening
to the Spiritual Heart. You will know that you have achieved the awakening of
the Spiritual Heart when you feel a wave of overwhelming compassion and pure
unconditional love flow through your being, lifting and linking you to a higher
purpose in life that you ever thought possible.
You
are all singular sole travellers, beings of light filled with love, you came to
this world alone and you will leave alone, whilst you are here you will interact
with other beings to learn, develop and grow through the experiences that you
are drawn to along the pathway of your journey. These experiences are the clues
that you need to start the process of awakening to your Spiritual Heart.
We
are our own worst enemy’s and yet at the same time we are our own best
friends, all we need do is recognise the clues that are given to us throughout
of lives, directing us to look inside and awaken our Spiritual Hearts to find
the answers that we seek and discover that the Meaning of Life was with us all
along.

"Ancient
Wisdom, Modern Choices"
by Su Maya
Everyone
is on a path, but are all paths spiritual?
According to the Lam-Rim teachings of Tibetan Buddhism there are 3 general
categories. These are noted in "A Lamp for the Path to
Enlightenment" by Atisha Dipamkara Shrijnana (982 -1054), and explained in
the very lucid book by the Dalai Lama called "Illuminating the Path to
Enlightenment".
Briefly speaking, higher levels of spiritual awareness are tempered by the depth
of compassion one has toward other living creatures. Therefore the 3 main types
are:
1- Those that are seeking self gratification.
2- Those who are seeking the release of their own suffering.
3- Those who are seeking liberation for all beings.
There is a coherent whole within which we all exist, including all the big and
little sentient beings of other species. They too are on a path, and struggling
toward the Light.
If you are a bit confused by the various belief systems that have accumulated
over the centuries, allow me to translate into modern terms.
Along the way you may be searching for guidance. You may have found some and
then been disappointed by the ego of teachers or the methods or lack of clarity
in books.
If it is necessary, you may try to change their minds, or you may let some
situations go, and move on to higher ground. It is not wrong as long as your
focus is on the perfection of intention.
Part of the spiritual journey is continuing the process of discernment.
You are to determine who and what is in resonance at each level of sensitivity.
There will be more trials, and more relief to follow. The simpler your
lifestyle, the fewer obstacles, so this is a good time to give away what is not
needed anymore.
Then the purification continues on more subtle levels. You will be able to
perceive qualities ahead of time, and have the tools to shift or avoid new
entanglements that may interfere.
So if you believe that we are connected to all life, then you agree that it is
important how each of us uses our minds. To mirror what the Ancient Ones said:
the more refined your integrity, the more precise your will to create a better
world for everyone.

"Angelic
Assistance for the New Year (2005)"
by
Christopher Dils
Invocation
Beloved Angels I call upon you. Blessed
and sacred Angels, messengers of God and of goodness, messengers of light and of
love, bring to us the illumination, the wisdom, the light and the love that we
may prepare ourselves for this new year.
Angel Message
“We are Angels of Release
and we are also Angels of Embracing The New. We are the Angels who
will help you to let go of all thought, action, and word whose time it
is to fall away.
We are
the Angels who come to you in winter to help prepare you for the new year. We
come to you in this quieter time, a time of increased stillness, a time when you
may more easily enter into the stillness of your own soul. When you enter
this still place in your own soul, you find a place like a deep well; a
well and wellspring of refreshment and replenishment. This well of your soul may
be deeply drawn upon for it runs to the depth of eternity. Your soul is
eternal, it has no beginning and no end, and it connects you to the eternal
love and wisdom of heaven.
Your soul
is in a constant state of expressing its true nature - which is divine
love. Ever expanding, ever evolving, your experience of your soul runs through
cycles like the seasons and cycles like day and night. These seasons of your
soul are a natural cycle, a natural process, of your evolution into ever more
present love. We assure you that no matter what season you find yourself in,
that you are moving ever deeper into the loving embrace of Creator and creation.
You are
at a natural place of pausing, now, before the new year begins. We encourage you
to enter into the inner stillness and to truly pause and contemplate, even if
just for a few minutes, in each of these days leading to the new year.
The new
year comes in the wintertime for it signifies new birth. New birth in a time
of more darkness, in a place of more emptiness. It is from this
clarity and from this stillness that your own consciousness is reborn. Your
consciousness ever evolves, is ever reborn in its journey into the full
expression of your soul. Your soul is constant, fixed and eternal, for it is
made of the original love that created all of creation. Your consciousness
evolves to understand, experience and express this. We assure you that your
destination, a place of full realization of the eternal love of heaven and your
place in it, is assured. Release any fear or doubt that you will eventually
attain this – it is your soul’s birthplace and birthright.
We ask
that you call upon us to help you to clarify what you may now release. Releasing
the old is an essential step to fully preparing yourself for the new year.
We ask
you to review the past year with compassion, with kindness towards yourself and
others, with the certain knowledge that all that you have experienced
has divine purpose and loving intent. Every experience of this past year is
to be embraced and engaged in a loving place of understanding. This
understanding is to be contained with compassion, with forgiveness, with
kindness, and with true and genuine appreciation. True and genuine
appreciation comes when you engage your deeper realization of the
power and potency of each of these experiences to reveal the nature and
condition of your own consciousness. This is the key – the revelation of the
condition of your own consciousness. All that you see around you is the mirror
reflection of your own inner consciousness.
Call upon
us to help you understand and embrace the lesson of your soul that is contained
in each of these experiences. We promise you that we will help you, guide you
and lead you to your own place of genuine self-realization. Each of these
experiences may be welcomed back into your awareness in the spirit of a
conversation, in the spirit of engaging from a place of love with an interest in
seeing more deeply, knowing more completely, and understanding more fully how
these experiences may lead you to realize the openings and blockages to
expanding your consciousness.
Welcome
back the most important, the most meaningful, the most painful, the most
distressful, and of course, the most loving and joyful experiences of the year.
Detach yourself from the associated emotions, calm your feelings, hold a place
of loving witness consciousness as you review your experiences.
Prepare
yourself further by embracing a deep sense of love and wonder. Allow yourself to
watch and review these experiences as you would theater, a film or a radio
program. Simply witness and observe. Allow your Angels to carry you through
these experiences much in the same way that the ghosts of Christmas past,
present and future carry Ebenezer Scrooge in the tale "A Christmas
Carol." Allow yourself to truly see those around you - see their lives,
their loves, their fears, their positives and negatives in a context of their
own evolution and self-realization.
As you
review and bless each experience, ask us to help you to receive all the highest
wisdom and realization that each experience contains.
Bless
each thought, each observation, and each place of witnessing, for you are
witnessing your own evolution. Welcome the wisdom, welcome the truth, and
realize that even your pain in these experiences is a loving companion that
focuses your attention on the most important matter at hand. Yet, your focus is
on the wisdom you can gain, not on the pain.
The Angel
of Forgiveness will help you to forgive yourself and all others. Call upon
this Angel for help with every mistake that you have made and every mistake that
has been made by another. Call upon this Angel to help you to see and realize
that even these mistakes were blessed and enfolded in Creator's love for you.
Each of these mistakes are growing and learning opportunities. Trust to the love
in your own soul -for this is the very same love that the souls of those around
you are made of. This love unifies, reveals and brings all experience into
loving harmony.
The Angel
of Forgiveness will bring the balm of new awareness to any wound, be it mental,
physical, emotional or even an apparent wound to your spirit. Your spirit can
never truly be harmed. Rest assured that your spirit (soul) is eternal and
indestructible. What feels like a wound to your spirit is actually the breaking
away, sometimes a painful tearing away, of illusion, misunderstanding and
misidentification with what is desired from what is true.
Next,
call upon the Angel of Compassion. The Angel of Compassion
will help you find peace within yourself and peace with those around you.
The Angel of Compassion will also remind you that when you anchor yourself in
the eternal love that is within your soul, you also connect with the universal
field of love which connects all souls.
Then call
upon The Angel of Peace who will help to settle your thoughts as you work
your way through this process. The Angel of Peace brings peace to your mind, to
your thoughts, to your emotions and feelings, and to your physical body and
nervous system. The Angel of Peace helps you to break your established habits of
stimulus and response so that you are free to look freshly at your assumptions
and beliefs. The Angel of Peace resolves conflict and settles your mind, which
helps you to connect to the well of love that is your soul.
The Angel
of Revelation may then work with you. When you are ready, call upon the
Angel of Revelation. For once you have brought yourself into forgiveness,
compassion and peace, you are ready for deep revelation. The Angel of Revelation
will guide you through what has been a mystery to you so that you may gather the
wisdom that you are now ready to receive.
The Angel
of Wisdom also will help you to fully understand and live the new wisdom
that you are realizing. The Angel of Wisdom helps prepare you for the new year.
In some ways this is like a graduation. You are leaving behind the old subjects,
some of your old classmates, some of your old teachers, and going on your next
place of learning. Allow this natural process.
Welcome
the new. Welcome the new gifts that your soul will call to you. Make space,
create places so that this new may enter your life. Move out the old, give away
the old. Make presents of your old “stuff” - give it away. For every thing
that you are complete with, every thing that no longer speaks of newness to you,
that no longer speaks of love to you, simply gift to another. Make space in your
heart for new love. Make space in your mind for new thought. Make space in your
life for new experience.
Your Guardian
Angels will now help guide you into the new year. They will help guide you
along the most loving path that your own consciousness is able to see. They will
show you -they will light this new way. Call upon your Guardian Angels for
peace, for comfort, but also for the excitement and the freshness of new life.
Your
Guardian Angels prepare you to grow again in this new year. Just as the nature
Angels help new buds to blossom in springtime, your guardian Angels help new
buds of wisdom, awareness, compassion, and love to blossom within you.
Your
Guardian Angels are with you in every step you take. They are with you in every
thought, every word, every action. Pause for a moment - call upon them - allow
them to help fresh thought to emerge. You will find fresh expressions of love
and of kindness rising naturally within you – welcome them, create with them
and give them as gifts to others!
As you
move into the new year, accept and welcome a shift in your own perceptions. This
shift is brought about by your own inner realizations that love does move all
things with a divine order and a divine purpose. It comes with a certainty that
the love within your own soul will continue to express and will continue to
attract every person, place, and thing that is perfectly matched to your
evolving consciousness.
Realize
that there is nothing more important than the state of your own consciousness.
Steep it in love, steep it in the purity of the love of creation, and allow it
to be a pure vessel for the expression of the loving consciousness that is both
your soul and the very stuff of creation.
We are
available to you to help and assist you. Call upon us with every step you take
into the new year and the birth of new loving consciousness within yourself.
Call upon us - we are ever present and ever with you.
All
blessings, all encouragement, all wisdom and all compassion to you for a good
and loving journey!”

"National
Flags: The Unrecognised Power of Colours"
by
Chakra Dave
Fellow colleagues New Year greetings, may your positive
dreams become reality. I seek to
share this knowledge with you all about a very important topic: the Power of
colour, we are all currently living in and under.
Colour is a vibration of energy; energy is another term for the movement
of atoms: and it's numerous parts namely; electrons, neutrons and protons.
These elements of energy make up everything we see, hear, taste, touch
and smell.
We are all prisoners of our five senses; hearing, smell,
touch, sight and taste; there is no escape or appeal from this prison regime.
Now since the beginning of our known existence we have been subjected and
developed common refinements of these five senses; known as our civilized
lifestyles.
As you will know variations in taste mainly through
foods.processing, freezing and recipes have created numerous dis-eases for
example diabetes and various cancers.
The variation in smell via perfumes, body-washes and soaps have created
numerous dis-eases; namely eczema and weakened our body's immune systems.
The variation in our hearing via language and varied musically harmonics in
general has created numerous dis-eases i.e. psychosis and misbehaviour in
our young.
The variation in touch is less varied however
electricity and radiation does
create dis-ease in human beings eventually leading to our immune system
poisoning and eventual death.
Variations in the sense of sight are a daily occurrence;
historical, televisual, war, in-humane images creates numerous dis-eases within
mankind; namely the hardened of our hearts, envy and greed. The focus of this
piece is The Power of Colour; all of the above vibrations are interpreted within
our developed modern-day programmed brains as Taste, Smell, Hearing, Touch and
Sight. Our brain's major sense is
the power of Sight. For example you know that you see an jet-plane in the sky
before you hear, touch, taste or smell it.
We now seek to focus upon a worldwide use of Colour to imprison and keep
divided it's people.
FLAGS are made from the imagination of a establishment
group of humans with
Nationhood building as their first principle.
Flags are usually a unique design of stars, stripes, crosses, nature
represented by the vibrations known to us all as Colours.
Colour is the main programming tool used to imprison and
create our beliefs and feeling of nationhood.
Leading to hatred of other Flag designs.
Now to illuminate you as to the recognised symbolism for
each colour kindly
look at the following table.
VIOLET - Higher Power - Supreme
INDIGO - Insight
BLUE - Communication
GREEN - Nature - Life
YELLOW Intelligence - Creativity
ORANGE Energy - Warmth
RED - Survival – Blood
You will be aware of Flag designs and the varied colours
used. All of Earth's inhabitants are born and going to die under or in-War for
their beloved national Flag colours. This is a major PROBLEM which the
multi-national war-machine loves and feeds upon.
We must begin to de-programmed the inhabitants of this planet using
Colour education and a new more flexible approach to Nationhood and the
significance of the current anchor namely the Flags holding back the evolution
of this our planet. Other groups
applauding this planets division are well known to you all with their global
so-called unifying events the Olympics, the World Cup and of course the United
Nations.
"Many Flags OVER one Misguided (blocked Chakra environment) chakra
People."
This world we inhabit was and is surviving from ONE original source vibration.
We are Today living on a planet sub-divided by the colours of a nation's
Flag causing huge and catastrophic diseases for all member of our human family
due to the blockages in the Chakras on a national level. Each Colour vibration
has been by the creator assigned to all living beings; this non-religious Law is
known as Chakra awareness. Basically,
we are not just a physical beings but as you may know a mind, a spirit, an
astral body and a mental body all linked and within one overall shell known as a
living thing. Words cannot begin to
describe it's creative abilities. Our major and minor Chakras communicate with
each of our known and unknown dimensions of harmonious being (in a perfect
world).
Each Chakra is a spinning wheel or vortex of vibrating
energy like a spiral linking all the numerous dimensions of our known being. We
have Seven major Chakras, assigned by the creative vibration of this Universe
containing this planet we know as Earth. A constant reminder of these Seven
colours is the Rainbow; acknowledging natures secret Colour Code of Power.
Via the information shown in the following list you may begin to see the
cause & effect upon our behaviour when born under your relevant nation's
Colour of Flag and the characteristic it yields upon each of our Chakra centre
personalities:
Red - Fire - Gonads - Eliminating - Doing - the
independent Self - Material
Bliss
Orange - Wood - Vitality - Adrenal - Generating - Desires - endurance -
efficiency
Yellow - Wind - Power - Pancreas - Solar Plexus - Connectedness - Control
Green - Water - Compassion - Heart - Intuition - Feelings - Divine Love
Blue - Air - Expression - Thyroid - Throat Communication - Channelling -
Dreams - Truth Indigo - Metal - Learning - Pituitary - Third Eye
Aspirations - The higher Self
Violet - Ether - Liberating - Pineal - Spirit - Cosmic Union - Trust in the
Higher Self
From the above Chakra descriptions you may see the accurate analysis of the
xenophobia created by imbalances within YOUR countries programmed at birth by
the STATE Colour coded Flag Chakra reminders i.e. yob-behaviour, Wars, G8 and
so-called Terrorist States.
"We must re-educate this Planet's inhabitants who are willing to live in
"passive educated Rainbow Chakra harmony.
"Flags are the tool of a foolish Set of Jokers and they must as with
Asbestos be eradicated from society's planet.
In closing I recommend that precisely every 10 years one
colour within your and my national Flag be changed and replaced by another
colour on a random peoples choice basis. The name of the country written inline
below the usual design in English. An
example would be re-design of new financial Currency notes. Nationhood is very
powerful as a collective history of bereavements and memory however while
remembering we must begin the healing of our planet's Chakra Centres.
We can be healed through knowledge of Chakra Awareness using the Power of
Colour.

"Get
Onboard the Wah-So Wave! (Wah-So="Creator")"
by
Janisel Rohs
For
eons mankind called upon a Higher Power, asking, begging, pleading for a way
out of the mess that our freewill choices have made. Some answers have come…but not as fast or as satisfactorily
as we have wanted. At long last,
as if it were God’s ‘last-ditch effort’ to save us from ourselves, the
‘complete’ solution has been given for the restoration of Divine Will on
Earth. And it has come,
unsurprisingly, through the Angelic Kingdom.
The
Church of Sananda’s Eagles, a worldwide Ministry based in Sedona, Arizona,
is blessed to have been chosen as the group to help bring this about by now
sharing the method called ‘Unity Consciousness’ with the world.
WE
ARE TALKING ABOUT THE COMPLETE AND SWIFT ARRIVAL OF ‘HEAVEN ON EARTH’ ON
THIS PLANET! IT IS THROUGH ‘UNITY
CONSCIOUSNESS’ AND WE CAN DO IT NOW!
IT IS SO SIMPLE! Unity
Consciousness is unity of thought, feeling and action in any time and place.
It is an opportunity for humanity to HELP bring the universe and all in
it to its rightful place. Unity
Consciousness quickens the perfection of our DNA. It allows for recognition and acceptance of the I AM/God in
you. And the I AM in you, when in
action, knows no limits.
For
twelve consecutive weeks, beginning in January of 2004, lessons on Unity
Consciousness were given to Sananda’s Eagles through various Group
Consciousness’ of the Angelic Kingdom, and were delivered by Lord
Jesus/Sananda, Lord Metatron, Archangel Michael or other Angelic groups.
We are sharing with you here some of what we were taught, for this is
probably the grandest news ever for our planet!
Unity Consciousness is the way to move the Earth into a higher plane of
existence, and bring about the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual
healing of ALL her lifeforms…the humans, our pets, the plant and mineral
kingdoms, the birds of the air and the fish in the sea…EVERYTHING!!
As Lord Metatron put it…
“This is THE healing for the planet.
And if it will heal the planet, it will heal everything ‘on’ the
planet, ‘within’ the planet, or ‘around’ the planet.”
We
were also told by Archangel Michael in regard to this healing method, “It’s
like, ‘OK, God, take away all those nasty little freewill choices that I’ve
brought into this life and into this body, and put it back in Order. I’ve
caused far too much chaos, and I don’t want to do that anymore’.
Michael
also said that this was the way “to put back into alignment what has been
out of alignment. Even if you
perform chakra cleansing and balancing, you are still affecting your pranic
tube. What we are putting you
through complete chakra balancing, realignment and adjustment.”
He
further explained, “Most people do not realize, when they do auric work,
that you are not ‘fixing’ anything if you haven’t worked on the center
of the body first. If the body
has a problem, and it’s reflecting in the auric field, and you heal it in
the auric field, it’s just going to come back because it hasn’t been fixed
‘internally’ yet.
The
week before we began receiving these lessons, we were asked by Archangel
Michael to gather together a large number of clear quartz crystals.
He said these were going to be programmed with the energetics of not
only the information we would be receiving over the next twelve weeks, but
also the higher vibrational frequency that ‘they’ (the angels) would
anchor within the physical space in which we gathered for these classes.
We were told that these crystals would subsequently be used to make a
‘special water’ that would, when combined with the other elements of this
Unity Consciousness healing method, ‘call
forth’ our ‘Perfected DNA’.
Some of our DNA is contained in our blood, and the blood needs to be
‘enhanced’ by water in order for the DNA components to multiply and
reconnect. This water is,
therefore, an integral part of the training we were given, and we’ll explain
why later on. First we would like
to give you some of the knowledge we gained from our weekly visits with the
Angels.
WHAT
IS THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE OF THIS PLANET?
Did
you even know that Earth, herself, has a language?
We might guess that the first language of this planet was perhaps
Ancient Hebrew, Sumerian or, from even further back, Lemurian. But the Angels
assured us that the ‘original’ language of this planet was far older than
that and that it was some of this language that they were going to be teaching
us. Needless to say, we all wondered how learning a ‘foreign language’
could help to heal everything in all of Creation, but as we later found out,
it is not just a ‘language of words’…it is the ‘Song of the Soul’!
And this Song is sung through the ‘toning’ of the words in this
language.
We
can in no way convey to you in this short space all that we were taught during
those twelve weeks, but we will attempt to impart the primary aspects of the
teaching.
To
begin with, here are some points to ponder.
What is ‘Divine Will’? What
is the ‘Divine Blueprint’? Are
you currently aligned with either one? If
you were living within your Divine Blueprint (the ‘Plan’ God has for your
life), and every other person was living with THEIR Divine Blueprint, then all
would be in a state of Divine Will. In
other words, all would be in perfection.
Can you imagine a world like that, where everything is ‘perfect’?
Unity Consciousness addresses one of the primary tasks that we have
been asked to fulfill, i.e. the balance of ‘male’ and ‘female’
energies. What would that world
be like? Well, for one, there
would be no more dis-ease of any kind, whether physical, mental, emotional or
spiritual. And the Earth… what
about her? She’s been
unceremoniously raped and pillaged through countless ways which are products
of mankind’s ‘freewill choice’. It
is now time to make another choice…and that choice is Unity Consciousness.
Unity Consciousness is unity of thought, feeling and action in any time and
place. It is an opportunity for
humanity to HELP bring the universe and all in it to its rightful place.
In a nutshell, what the Angels taught and shared with us was THE WAY to
bring EVERYTHING back into Divine Will and Perfection. How will this be accomplished?
By you and
thousands like you.
Before
the classes began, we were given three statements, or affirmations, that were
to be memorized in preparation for doing the healing method.
These statements are in ‘our’ language, rather than the language of
the planet.
During
the first class, we began learning the vocabulary of our bodies and our
planet. In subsequent weeks, we
learned specific hand/arm movements that went along with these tones, as well
as the full meaning and translation of what these words mean and the prayer
they create. When the various
tones are combined with their specific hand/arm movements, a powerful force
comes into being…calling forth the Creator to align EVERYTHING ‘back’
into Divine Will and Balance.
After
the classes in which we received the first three tones and arm movements, we
were shown how to put this into practical use in healing the body of others.
Metatron
told us that this healing method is SO POWERFUL that no more than 4 people can
work on someone if they are sitting in a chair.
If there are more than four healers, then the person having the work
done on them must be lying down. And
after each healing, the person must remain lying down for a minimum of 30-45
minutes. If the person is lying
down for the healing, there is NO LIMIT to the number of healers that can work
on them at the same time. And
there is NO LIMIT as to what this healing method can accomplish.
It can be used as a ‘stand-alone’ modality, or to fine-tune the
healing skills you are already using, such as Reiki or massage therapy. One student, who is a Certified Massage Therapist, uses it
during her sessions. Another of
the students is a Urologist and has incorporated it into his medical practice!
Although this healing method can be used by ‘individuals’, it is at
its MORE EFFECTIVE when done by a GROUP of individuals, acting together in
Unity Consciousness. Individuality
is not lost but, to the contrary, is enhanced in Unity Consciousness
activities due to the exponential nature of its energies.
IT WORKS!
Not
long after our Sananda’s Eagles group was taught this healing method, we had
a chance to try it out. We had been told that we could do long-distance healing ‘by
proxy’…meaning that, with the other person’s permission, we could ‘become’
the body of that person and receive the healing for them. One of our members was dating a man whose daughter had been
admitted to the hospital due to seizures brought about by anorexia.
Try as they did, the doctors couldn’t stop the seizures and told the
family that the only way to do so was to put the daughter into a
medically-induced coma. They did
so, and it did work to stop the seizures.
The problem, however, was trying to get her ‘out’ of the coma.
The medical staff spent 2 days trying to wake the daughter, to no
avail. When our group got
together to practice our toning and healing skills, one of us acted as the ‘proxy’
for her while everyone else did the Healing Prayer.
We learned later that day that she had come out of the coma within the
same hour that we were sending her the healing! IT WORKS!
While
the first three weeks of our classes with the Angels were spent in learning
what they call the ‘Healing Prayer’ method, the following three weeks we
spent learning yet another prayer…this being one that is used for ‘personal
protection’ and ‘invocation of the Creator’.
This prayer also has arm and hand movements that accompany specific
tones from the planet’s original language.
A ‘FAR-REACHING’
MODALITY
After
spontaneously teaching 10 people how to do the toning and healing, we asked
Archangel Metatron how ‘far’ the energies were felt.
He replied that it rippled over 5000 miles…from Arizona to Australia.
Now, that’s POWERFUL! We
were told that not only did it go ‘out’ that far, but also went to the
core of the planet as well as ‘out’ from, and around, the planet.
LET’S DANCE!
Although
the feet aren’t used, the Angels refer to doing just the tones, combined
with the arm/hand movement, as the ‘Dance’.
When the Prayer of Protection is added at the end, it is then referred
to as the ‘Full Dance’. And I don’t think any of us has ever danced so much in our
lives! It is such a JOY to sing
and dance within the energies of the Creator!
It is truly the ‘Song of the Soul’.
THRONE WATER
When
we finally reached the last of the 12 classes, we were introduced to the ‘special
water’ that is used in conjunction with the Unity Consciousness healing. It
is called ‘Throne Water’ because, as Michael said, “It has been brought
to you directly from the Throne of the Creator”. He
also told us, “You have been told that the first part of the dance that you
do is for you ‘body’. The
second part is more or less for your ‘direct connection to the Throne’.
The water binds the two of them together, because that’s what your
body is, that’s what your emotions are…the two tied in together.
It’s time to make the connections.
It’s time to honor the Contract that you have with that body and the
work that ‘both’ of you agreed to do while you’re here.”
There
have been many articles written recently about the importance of water.
Michael asked us “How many of you have to wear corrective lenses? How
many of you have lung problems? How many of you have had heart problems? Blood
problems? Skin problems? Guess
what that is from? LACK OF WATER!”
During
our 12th and last class, we were honored with the presence of Lord
Jesus/Sananda. He said of the Throne Water, “This is the ULTIMATE WATER on
the planet today”.
IT
IS THIS WATER, WHEN USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE UNITY CONSCIOUSNESS HEALING
MODALITY, THAT CARRIES THE HEALING ENERGIES THROUGH THE BODY AND
RE-ESTABLISHES THE DNA CONNECTION AND RESTORATION OF OUR DIVINE BLUEPRINT!
ARE
YOU READY TO HEAL YOUR BODY AND THE BODIES OF OTHERS?
BRING
BALANCE AND HEALING FOR THE EARTH?
RESTORE
YOUR DNA AND DIVINE BLUEPRINT?
ACCESS
A
DIRECT
CONNECTION TO THE THRONE OF GOD?
BRING
YOUR ENTIRE BEING BACK INTO THE HEALTH AND JOY IT WAS DESIGNED FOR?
If
your answer is ‘YES’ to any of
these questions, and you would like to join with us in re-establishing the
Divine Plan on Earth, please send
an email to janisel@qwest.net, with
UNITY CONSCIOUSNESS on the Subject line, and your name and location (city,
state, country) in the body of the email.
We are sponsoring three-day JoyShops and establishing GROUPS (‘Pillars
of Light’) around the planet which will participate at a later date in a ‘Wah-So’
Wave, with ALL the Pillars of Light doing the ‘Full Dance’ at the same
time, calling on our Creator to bring the Earth back into Divine Will and
Perfection. And, with YOUR help,
so shall it be!
IT’S
FUN! IT’S EASY!...AND, BEST OF ALL, IT WORKS!
Here
are some of the things that Unity Consciousness will help bring about for your
benefit:
1.
Heightened intuition and instincts.
2.
Enhances observational skills and memory
3.
Vision, Listening and Understanding will increase.
4.
Better relations with everyone and everything.
5.
A keener awareness of who you really are.
6.
A way out of unwanted habits.
7.
How to ward off stress and distress.
8.
How to work ‘with’ the body…not ‘against’ it.
9..
Sharpen and expand your present capabilities.
The
listing is only a sample of the many positive things, along with others
outlined in the text above, that doing the Unity Consciousness practice will
bring about.

"Problems
Caused By Psychic Experiences"
by
Rabia Clark
There is danger involved in opening up
to spiritual, ceremonial, extrasensory or psychic experiences. This includes
such experiences as: channeling, performing depossessions, alien visitations
and abductions, participating in ceremonies using entheogins (hallucinogenic
substances), excessive meditation, and remote viewing. Taking brief seminars
purporting to qualify people to be Huichol healers, regression therapists,
hypnotherapists, depossession therapists, breathwork practitioners, Reiki
masters, etc, may lead to serious spiritual crisis problems, especially if
participants are emotionally fragile to begin with.
There are many training programs today that teach techniques similar to these.
They may be legitimate, or be seminars of unprofessional quality. Traditional
healing, for example, is a lifelong training program. Native American healers
and ceremonial leaders, are extremely reluctant to teach their work to
non-natives. They start training early in life. Many people who are
mixed-blood natives, but haven’t participated in ceremonies, want to learn
those traditions. Participation in a few sweat lodges, observing Sun Dances,
and other ceremonies is not the same as the lengthy period of traditional
training. Calling oneself a traditional healer after participating in cursory
experiences is unacceptable to people who have received legitimate training.
Calling oneself a “shaman” after a few workshops or trips to take
hallucinogenic mushrooms is not honest. Native peoples often aren’t allowed
to teach outsiders their tribal secrets. They have been chosen to learn them
by their elders when they were children. The training takes many years.
Leading the ceremonies is an honor, which is not taught to everyone. The
different clans in Native American tribes have specific ceremonies for annual
occasions, and participants only learn their clan’s part. The women also
have their ceremonies, according to the seasonal events, and their clan’s
participation. Taking the ceremonies out of their culture makes them
incomplete. There are a lot of sweat lodges that non-natives lead and attend,
for example. It can be a wonderful experience. When it’s not done in a
sacred manner, for example while using marijuana, then the original purpose of
it as a healing for an individual or a group isn’t there.
Professional level skills in psychology traditions also take a long time to
acquire, and often require an extensive internship and mentorship. For
example, the Licensed Professional Counselor training requires a 3,000-hour
internship in an agency in Texas, with an additional hour a week with a
supervisor during those 2 years. This is after getting a MA degree in a
psychology-related field.
THE SPIRITUAL CRISIS
It is important to avoid “going off the deep end” and becoming
dysfunctional during long periods of meditation, psychic experiences, while
undergoing psychic phenomena, and mediumship. This can take the appearance of
a psychotic breakdown. Or, the person may become delusional or think of
themselves as “enlightened.” Most therapists may not recognize these
symptoms as temporary, and the client may end up medicated, or in a hospital.
Another way of defining the situation is available: The Spiritual Emergence
Crisis.
The idea of a spiritual crisis evolved through the work of Stanislov and
Christina Grof, who founded the Spiritual Emergence Network (SEN) in 1978. It
has recently been reorganized as the Center for Psychological and Spiritual
Health (www.cpsh.org). During childbirth, Christina had a powerful
kundalini energy experience. Dr. Grof was able to help her work through it,
because he understood the process. Together, they founded SEN. It’s purpose
was to help people going through what they called a Spiritual Emergence
Crisis. This occurs in many different situations. For example, a meditator may
find that find they suddenly have a level of awareness and energy
transformation that they don’t know how to handle. Or, a person may start
hearing voices, seeing visions, or become extremely psychic. The network
provides counselors who are trained to handle such situations. Going to a
professional who does not know about them may be very detrimental.
Let me give a few examples: A man who has written several informative books
about channeling was speaking at a seminar, and I was supposed to speak with
him. He had been channeling 26
spirits before coming to the conference, he told us. By the time he started
speaking, the spirits were out of control. They all wanted to speak at the
same time. It was quite a dilemma for me to be on stage with him, when he made
no sense at all, like a radio tuned to many channels at once. This kind of
experience was most likely temporary, as he probably stopped doing it once he
realized the danger.
Kundalini awakening can be very problematical. Gopi Krishna describes that
difficult process in his early book, Kundalini, where its emotional and
physical problems prevented him from working for long periods and made him
dysfunctional. It is often triggered off by Hindu meditation practices, or
even Kundalini Yoga classes. It can cause a lot of pain in the energy centers
of the body, as well as unusual states of consciousness.
In 1975 I decided to practice meditation. I spent a year in a Hindu program,
and their techniques triggered off my kundalini, which was very difficult.
Then, I joined the Sufi Order International in 1976, and became a teacher in
their meditation program after a year (which I was not prepared for so soon,
but for which I was given extensive training during the next 10 years). I’ve
had a series of powerful visionary states during the past 28 years as a Sufi
teacher. I had read about the spiritual emergence process, and felt that was
what was happening to me. I decided to go ahead and let the process evolve, as
an experiment. Unfortunately, there was no one to help me navigate the dangers
of the inner journey. Most Sufi students don’t go through such extreme
experiences. Some of mine were probably triggered off by the earlier Hindu
practices. During those long years I painted and sculpted the images that came
to me as a result of these spiritual states of consciousness, so I could
understand them better.
I was reluctant to tell anyone about the situation during the time it was
happening, and managed to hide most of my dysfunctional behavior. I spent long
periods barely in contact with my body. For months, I felt like I was located
in a cloud of energy above an empty body, and had to talk down a tube, and
hear voices coming up a tube. This was one of many phases that evolved.
Another example: I was possessed by a huge yeti-like light being for 2 years,
who seemed benevolent, but had a lot of energy that some people could sense. I
felt like I was looking out of its chest. A few people were able to see it,
towering above me. Finally, I got tired of not knowing where its body ended
and mine began, and sent him back to the light with the help of a friend who
was a psychologist. Later, I went to other dimensions of consciousness, with
angels and beings of light, and also found myself in other kinds of bodies
(even trees). Three years were spent poised on the threshold between the inner
and the manifest worlds, where nothing seemed real. Having training as a
psychotherapist helped me endure the process, as it was fascinating, in spite
of being so uncomfortable. I wasn’t afraid of it.
Finally, in 2004, I felt that the major episodes of the spiritual process had
subsided. It seemed that other people might benefit from my experiences. I
decided, with trepidation, to make a DVD movie about them, which shows the
paintings, and describes the many states I went through.
I give this short synopsis of experiences as an illustration of the need to be
very careful when training in the spiritual, ceremonial, psychic and
channeling arts. Yes, these can be learned, with practice. And, some people
have a natural talent for them. But, once unleashed, they can cause many
mental, physical, and emotional problems, which are long lasting, disruptive,
and transformative. Knowing it’s a spiritual process is reassuring.
I am willing to refer people going through similar processes to helpful
resources.

"Ten
Suggestions for Creating A Lasting Love.....All By Yourself"
by
Susan Jeffers
The power is yours.
Whether your relationship simply needs some fine-tuning or whether it is in
serious trouble, you will be amazed at how much relationship-healing you can do
all by yourself. And if you are not in a relationship, there are many ways of
approaching members of the opposite sex in a new and welcoming manner. Here are
just 8 suggestions excerpted from my newest book, The Feel the Fear
Guide to Lasting Love...
1) Expand the purpose
of your relationship. As I see it, a relationship has two important
purposes—a Practical Purpose and a Higher Purpose. The Practical Purpose of a
relationship is simply to have someone with whom to share our lives. Traveling
the road together can be a joyous experience. But sometimes problems with money,
sex, children, work and the like can make the journey together very difficult.
It is for this reason that we need to have a Higher Purpose.
The
Higher Purpose of a relationship is to learn how to become a more loving
person--despite what problems come up. It is our using all the problems
as a vehicle for seeing what we need to work on within ourselves to keep love in
our heart. Too often, without remembering our Higher Purpose, we begin longing
for the initial bloom of love and the downward spiral begins. We blame our mate
instead of realizing that this is a great time for learning and growing. Anger
and resentment build. And for too many of us, we can safely predict that the end
is near.
If,
however, we focus on the Higher Purpose, that of becoming a more loving
person, the outcome can be very different. Problems can become a plus
instead of a minus. We learn, we grow, we are filled with creativity, we take
responsibility, we feel strong and our love for our mate grows. There is no
question that it is through our Higher Purpose that we ultimately experience the
exquisite beauty of real love.
2)
Handle the neediness. Neediness
is an emotion created by fear and is one of the prime destroyers of love. It
stands to reason that if we are feeling needy, consciously or unconsciously, we
are always trying to manipulate our mate with the desperate hope that they will
make us feel whole. Neediness causes us to protect ourselves at the expense of
our mate, to close our hearts, to judge our mates and blame them for our
unhappiness, to become angry, resentful and defensive. Not a pretty picture!
But
when we feel whole...when we feel strong...when we feel we are a part of the
hugeness of life...we can be safely vulnerable always knowing, that no matter
what happens, we will handle it all. In this way, our neediness disappears. We are fulfilled. And our ability to love with
a sense of confidence and joy radiates throughout our being. We become a magnet
to all that is good in this world...and that includes a truly wonderful
relationship.
3) Radiate a
positive and loving energy. Science is actually proving that feelings are
contagious. This means that if you think and act lovingly, your partner will
actually "catch" that loving energy. You become a model that evokes
love in your mate. And the whole nature of the relationship begins to move in
the direction of love.
Of course, the opposite
is true as well. If you think and act un-lovingly, your partner will
"catch" that un-loving energy. You become a model that evokes conflict
in your mate. And the whole nature of the relationship moves itself in the
direction of conflict. And you know where conflict leads…often to the end of
the relationship.
Bottom line:
If you are feeling resentful, negative, disdainful and the like with your mate,
work on changing your energy to one of love, appreciation, and caring. It can
make all the difference in the world.
4) Pick
up the mirror instead of the magnifying glass. What does that mean? The magnifying glass represents our symbolically
pointing a finger and blaming our mate for our unhappiness. The mirror
represents looking inward and taking responsibility not only for our actions but
also for our REACTIONS to what is going on in the relationship. The mirror is
self-awareness, and self-awareness is the first step toward positive change. A
few examples:
üThe
magnifying glass: I am angry he is
not making more money.
üThe
mirror: Why am I blaming him?
It’s my own fear that is stopping me
from creating money all by myself. I have to work on my fears.
üThe
magnifying glass: I am angry because
of her taking time away from
me to spend time with her friends.
üThe
mirror: Is my life so limited
that I can’t function without her for a few
hours? It’s time for me to take responsibility to create more balance
in
my life so that I don’t feel empty and needy when she is not around.
5)
Become the mate you want your mate to be. First make a list of all the
characteristics you want your mate to have. It could look like this: loving,
thoughtful, warm, considerate, caring, appreciative, romantic, generous.
Now
for the big challenge...pick up the mirror and begin developing
these qualities in yourself.
You
may be someone who resists this challenge. But how can we ask our mates to be
something we have been unwilling to be ourselves? Also, as you just learned,
loving behavior is contagious. Just incorporating all these loving qualities
within our own being can dramatically alter the thoughts and actions of our
mate. Also, remember the Higher Purpose of your relationship...and that is to
become a more loving person. This is a perfect opportunity to do so. Your
goal? Maximum caring and minimum need. Powerfully loving, indeed!
6)
Validate your mate. We have to learn to notice and openly express thanks
for the beautiful things our mate does for us. (And if you can’t find anything
to thank him for, then why are you there?) It makes our mate feel so good when
we let him know the things we appreciate about him. And it encourages him to
continue doing beautiful things.
Remember
that every relationship has its good and every relationship has its bad. By
focusing on the bad, we starve. By focusing on the good, we thrive...allowing us
to creatively and lovingly deal with the bad. So begin right now by appreciating
all that your mate does in your life. Don't let another day pass before you say
"Thank you for being in my life. I love you." Say it today...and say
it often.
7) Don’t be passive
when it comes to love. I think it’s really important to keep in mind that
love is an emotion but just as importantly, love is an action. The question you
need to keep asking yourself is, "What am I doing to keep love alive?"
Action is key when romance is involved. It's also a way of keeping us conscious!
We need actions to help us keep our focus on how blessed we are to have our
partner in our life.
I suggest you do just do
one thing daily as a way of honoring your mate and your Higher Purpose, that of
becoming a more loving person. It may take time to push through any resistance
you may be feeling, but keep pushing. Eventually you will get yourself on the
side of love.
8)
There are times to "lie" lovingly. You sit down to dinner
together and you want to complain about the fact that your mate was late coming
home from work. Knowing that he/she is in the middle of a lot of pressure at
work at the moment, it would be irrational and punishing to say, “It really
makes me angry that you came home late today.” Instead, with clenched teeth,
if need be, let what comes from your mouth be loving, even if you are not
feeling loving. Say something like, “I’m so happy when we are together.
I love you.” You will most likely get a loving response back. And
the miracle of such an approach is that your own tension will melt and you will
feel that beauty of the moment instead of being the one to destroy it.
9)
Stop gender bashing.
You’ve probably been guilty of telling (or at least laughing at) jokes about
members of the opposite sex—even when your mate is in the room. Don’t do
that. What seems like “harmless” joking may actually be working against your
efforts to move out of the realm of "selfish" love and into the realm
of "real" love. When you participate in the bashing of members of the
opposite sex, you are behaving in a hurtful and unloving way. Remember, if
you don’t love, respect and admire the opposite sex, you won’t, by
definition, love respect and admire your mate.
10)
Celebrate the wonderful fact that many
of the old “selfish” reasons for being in relationships are gone. Women
are learning how to take care of themselves financially. Men are learning how to
cook, clean and care for children. Take advantage of the opportunity to nowbe in
a relationship for much more fulfilling reasons than in earlier times. It’s no
longer about survival; it’s about learning and growing together; it’s about
supporting each other’s dreams; it’s about the wonder of walking the walk
and talking the talk. These are beautiful components of real love, in which men
and women help each other to become whole.
Yes,
the power is yours. We can all make the
decision to live our lives with dignity, love and caring, and to push through
the inner fears that keep us from being a loving person. We all have that
choice. No
matter what the state of your relationship, it offers you an incredible
opportunity for learning and growing. It is definitely worth all the effort you
put into it. Why? A loving relationship feels sublime and brings you great joy;
it makes life sweeter and easier. You delight in your ability to give to your
mate; you feel abundant as you take in the love that he gives to you. Just
sharing the journey with someone you love…it doesn't get any better than that.

A Bereaved Mother’s Loving Pilgrimage from Skeptic to Psychic
Medium by Sandy Wiltshire

Agnostic
skeptic turned professional medium helps bereaved parents connect with their
children on the other side
Like
it or not, death touches us all. Fear of death and avoidance of the topic
undoubtedly come from a lack of belief in an afterlife and fear of the unknown.
Approximately 10,229 people die every day in the U.S. — or close to
four million people a year — the equivalent of the entire population of Los
Angeles. Such wide-scale loss affects nearly every person who remains alive.
However, people avoid the subject of death like the plague.
Yet
nearly everyone yearns for reassurance that the soul does survive in a
meaningful way and that life indeed goes on. Those who have lost a loved one or
are facing their own imminent death are in special need of evidence and proof.
Such
reassurance comes not only in the form of people who publicly recount their
personal near-death experiences, but also from those who have the ability to
communicate with people who have died. We
call them mediums.
Entire
communities have been built where people who are gifted mediums live as
neighbors. Lily Dale, New York, and
Casadaga, Florida, are two examples. Mediumship
in these communities is commonplace.
The
popularity of the television shows Medium and Ghost Whisperer
reflects the current widespread interest in life after death and communication
with those on the other side.
Many
people who are mediums were born with complete awareness of those on the other
side. Person after person will relate how their childhoods were
filled with “imaginary” friends and visitations.
For them, this was normal and they presumed everyone else could see and
hear what they did.
But
such instant recognition of this ability is not always a preamble to
communication with the so-called dead. Perhaps
each and every person has the latent, innate ability without being aware of it.
The story of Sandy Wiltshire is a case in point.
A
lifelong resident of a small Ontario town, Sandy had absolutely no paranormal
experiences that she was aware of when she was growing up.
In fact, she had no interest in such matters, and by the time she was in
her late 40s, she was an agnostic who took no special interest in spiritual or
religious concepts. Her entire
focus was being a wife, mother to three girls, and elementary schoolteacher.
But
then one day in October of 1998, Sandy experienced her own personal tsunami. Her
oldest daughter Kim was killed by a reckless driver when he crossed the center
line and hit Kim’s car.
The
devastation that ensued for Sandy was monumental.
In her mind, dead was dead and she had no belief in an afterlife to hold
onto. Such irrevocable loss of her
beloved child was more than she could bear, and she spent the next three months
medicated and in bed much of the time.
Sandy
had no idea what her soul had been destined for this lifetime.
She would have scoffed dismissively if someone had told her she would not
only believe in life after death and survival of the soul, but that she herself
would be able to directly communicate with her daughter and others in the spirit
realm. In fact, this is exactly what was in store for this skeptical agnostic.
Her
spiritual odyssey is recounted in her new book, My Gift of Light. Through
a series of synchronicities and her own personal mini-miracles, Sandy was led to
explore life after death. A friend
gave her a copy of the world renown medium James Van Praagh’s book, Talking
to Heaven. The hope the book inspired in her triggered her search for Kim.
Sandy
also discovered a series of websites where mediums offer free online readings
for the bereaved. A little
embarrassed and also wanting to cloak her identity to make sure no one could
have “checked her out” ahead of time, she always logged in under the
pseudonym Holly. She revealed nothing about herself, Kim’s tragic death, or
even her geographic location.
As
Sandy explains in My Gift of Light, the continuum of online readings was
riveting for her, and she began to admit that there was no way these people
could have known details of her life in order to give her a phony reading.
Eventually, Sandy’s skepticism gave way and she abandoned her agnostic
beliefs. She embraced her inner knowing that life does indeed go on.
But
perhaps more than anything, Sandy’s experience holds out hope for everyone
else. Sandy would have told you she was utterly devoid of spiritual
gifts and had no inclination toward being a psychic or a medium.
But her absolute determination to communicate directly with her daughter
on the other side led Sandy to try to develop these abilities.
And develop them she did!
The
old adage “practice makes perfect” certainly applies in this case because
Sandy was diligent about developing ways to reach Kim. Despite abject failure in
the beginning, Sandy persevered until one day, through automatic writing, she
made a breakthrough to the other side. Samples
of some of these early writings are replicated in My Gift of Light.
Not
only did Kim come through from the other side to her mother, but Sandy’s
guides came through as well. It
became clear to Sandy that many on the other side were orchestrating her
awakening and blossoming of talents. She
was told her work would help many.
Sandy
Wiltshire has been a full-time professional medium for four years.
She gives private readings in her home in Ontario. Prior to the
publication of her book and without any advertising — relying only on word of
mouth — she had a one-year waiting list of people who requested a reading.
She
credits one particular medium named Sharlette Pumphrey for “being one of the
greatest gifts in my life.” Sandy
acknowledges Sharlette for “opening my soul to the truth of the other side”
and for “giving me 100% proof of the afterlife and that Kim was in it.”
Unabashedly Sandy admits that Sharlette was her lifeline when she so
desperately needed one.
Sandy
knows first-hand how healing and lifesaving such a lifeline can be, and she is
now 100% dedicated to being a lifeline for others.
In fact, Sandy’s specialty is connecting bereaved parents with their
children on the other side.
According
to Sandy, as traumatic as her daughter’s death was, she is convinced Kim’s
soul chose this early departure in coordination with Sandy’s soul’s choice
of spiritual growth and a career switch from schoolteacher to psychic medium. Her spiritual studies and investigations have given her this
elevated perspective, and although she wishes she could have Kim back with her
and the family, she understands there was a grander purpose for it all.
Sandy
Wiltshire is a real-life medium, much like the one Emmy-winner Patricia Arquette
plays on the television show Medium. But Sandy doesn’t specialize in
solving crimes. She’s involved in
the softer, gentler side of mediumship, through which she helps the bereaved
renew hope, reconnect with their departed loved ones, and see the events from a
higher, more spiritual perspective. Sandy
intends to continue giving hope to many through My Gift of Light and her
one-on-one readings.
Background
on the topic of life after death
Thirty-five
years ago the subject of life after death was pretty much taboo in our society
despite the fact that every major religion teaches that the soul survives bodily
death. Prior to 1970, small pockets
of people who were interested in the topic of survival of the soul whispered
together behind closed doors about the possibility, but no one wanted to risk
ridicule and social ostracization that was sure to come if they were to speak
out publicly.
What
a difference three-and-a-half decades make.
The shift can be documented with the publication of two landmark books: On
Death & Dying by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, MD, in 1969 followed by Life
After Life by Raymond Moody, MD, PhD, in 1975.
Kubler-Ross’
medical specialty was psychiatry, but her passion was death and dying. While working in major U.S. city hospitals, she was horrified
by the way dying patients were shunned and abused. Through her international bestselling book, On Death &
Dying, which outlined the five psychological stages of dying (denial,
anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance), her work became well
known.
She brought the hospice movement to the U.S. and inspired people to be
open to the idea that when people die, they merely make a transition into
another form.
Around the same time, Moody began researching a phenomenon he
was to coin the “near-death experience” after interviewing patients who had
been clinically dead. Without
tainting subsequent interviews with information gathered from previous ones,
Moody discovered a remarkable consistency of experience. He recorded these similarities in his book, which has sold
over 13 million copies worldwide.
Perhaps no other two people or bodies of work triggered more
hope and interest in survival of the soul than Kubler-Ross and Moody. Over the
years, the subject of death, dying and survival of the soul has become
commonplace and openly discussed. Countless
books have been written on such subjects, and people no longer have to be
concerned about public humiliation if they show interest in survival of the
soul.
Today thousands upon thousands of people have come forward to
recount their own near-death experiences after coming back from clinical death.
Their heartfelt stories are reassuring and confirming.
More corroboration comes from professional mediums who have often taken
center stage in the media in recent years.
John Edward is perhaps the most famous with his successful television
show Crossing Over and series of books.
Bestselling author James Van Praagh is now writing scripts for the
television show Ghost Whisperer, based on Ohio’s Maryann Winkowski’s
paranormal experiences. Real-life medium Allison DuBois’ experiences working
with Texas law enforcement form the basis for the ratings success of the show Medium.
And
now Sandy Wiltshire enters the spotlight with her new book, My Gift of Light,
which compellingly chronicles her personal pilgrimage from agnostic skeptic to
psychic medium in an effort to reach her daughter on the other side.

Whatever
The
Question, Love Is The Answer
by
Jean-Claude
Gerard Koven
----------------------------------------
With
each passing day the gathering storm clouds that threaten the lives of humankind
darken. Every effort to stave off the inevitable and achieve lasting peace has
failed. Perhaps it is time for us to adopt a new game plan?
----------------------------------------
The
recent flare-up of hostilities in the Middle East comes as no surprise. As any
Boy Scout or forest ranger will attest, smoldering embers can easily erupt into
a raging inferno when fanned by even a gentle breeze. Separating the antagonists
by means of a politically negotiated settlement has nothing whatsoever to do
with peace, despite the flowery rhetoric and well-meaning intentions of those
who believe otherwise.
Millions
of people all around the globe pray for peace, light peace candles, hold peace
vigils, conduct meetings, and issue peace proclamations. The UN Security Council
declares resolutions for peace. But still hostilities sprout all around us like
mushrooms after a rain. These efforts have failed, and they will surely continue
to fail so long as peace is their objective. For peace is not a commodity to be
brokered or haggled over, nor is it a state that can ever be achieved between
two dissenting parties. Peace is nothing more (or less) than a by-product of
love. So long as the true love that leads to the realization that we are all One
remains undiscovered, there can only be separation--the bridgeless void that
divides us and them.
Ironically,
even the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize has its roots in conflict and dissension.
The money for the prize comes from the fortune amassed by Alfred Bernhard Nobel,
the Swedish chemist, arms manufacturer, and inventor of dynamite. It is said
that he set up the annual awards program in response to seeing his own
eight-years-premature obituary printed in a French newspaper: "Le
marchand de la mort est mort"--The merchant of death is dead. .
. . Dr. Alfred Nobel, who became rich by finding ways to kill more people faster
than ever before, died yesterday." Nobel apparently did not
want to be remembered through the ages as an agent of war, so he aligned one of
the awards endowed with his fortune with what he thought was the antidote to his
perceived legacy: peace.
A
cursory look at recent Nobel Peace Prize recipients' abysmal success rate in
achieving peace, however, should give us pause. For the most part, the
well-meaning men and women who have received the prize nevertheless worked
within the very system that fosters the separation they sought to heal. Until
they shift the point from which they choose to view, they too can do little of
consequence to shift the world to real peace.
If
peace is not a realistic goal in and of itself, then how do we end the
separation and divisiveness that breeds hostility? The answer is wondrously
simple and remarkably accessible.
Love
is the only answer. Peace in the absence of love is a total impossibility. When
love is present, the illusion of separation dissolves and the question of peace
becomes irrelevant. I was reminded of this earlier this week when I received an
email with the subject line: "As my soul guides me, Jean-Claude, my name is
Catherina Rodrigues. I have been guided to share with you my intention to be an
instrument for 'LOVE' in this world of ours today. All my love, Catherina."
Catherina,
it turns out, is a young mother living with her husband, Randall, and her
seven-year-old daughter, Madeline, in the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney,
Australia. On July 14th, the same date celebrated by the French as Bastille Day,
ironically, a day remembered for its violence in the name of freedom, Catherina
came out of her morning meditation with the unequivocal message: "Think
Love." She was "instructed" to create a graphic
design that embraced the essence of these words, and "told" that this
design should be posted on T-shirts, placards, note cards, coffee mugs, and
anything else that would help imprint this message into the human psyche.
Within
minutes Catherina had created a simple line drawing that perfectly captured the
visual representation of the message. When I saw it in her email, I was hooked.
(See a copy of her email at: www.prismhouse.com/thinklove.php
) A slew of emails and phone calls quickly followed, and I came to know this
incredible being who has taken on the role of single-handedly doing what all the
Nobel laureates before her have failed to accomplish. Through love, Catherina
and those who choose to join with her will at last, spread true peace to the
world.
Her
vision is as clear as it is bold: to invite every single person who sees her
design or hears of her mission to become an active, willing participant. She
plans to turn "Think Love" into a global movement that overrides all
national, religious, and philosophical boundaries. To see what this remarkable
woman has achieved in less than one week, visit: www.catherinarodrigues.com/ThinkLove.html
. Each of us is welcomed as an ambassador of love and invited to reach out to
humankind, not merely to cease hostilities and embrace detente but to transcend
the uncertainty and fears of old wounds and outdated thinking and embrace our
former enemies as ourselves.
Catherina
knew her purpose in life very early on. :Since the age of four I would
tell my parents that I will travel the world and talk to people about God. . . .
My soul knew then, as it knows now, that I am here to speak of
LOVE!!! Love is all there is to speak about." Her message to
the world, "Think Love," tells us that it is time to depose the
intellect as our sovereign. We need to follow Catherina's lead and learn to love
with our minds and think with our hearts.

Spiritual
Breakthrough
by
Jean-Claude
Gerard Koven
----------------------------------------
The
spiritual journey is riddled with the lure of false prophets and deceptive
practices. Where does a true seeker go to reconnect with divine purpose?
----------------------------------------
Belief,
especially when cloaked in the mantle of faith, may be a source of solace and
hope for many, but I consider it the lowest form of processing information. My
beef with belief is that people deeply invested in a belief system typically
become so averse to shifting their point of view, that what they see never
changes. And they think this is good – a sign that they’ve latched onto
truth. But have they? As best-selling author Robert J. Ringer (“Action:
Nothing Happens until Something Moves”) observes, “People
say they love truth, but in reality they want to believe that that which they
love is true.”
To
my way of thinking, if I go to sleep believing something and wake up in the
morning with the same belief, it’s a sure sign that I’m stuck.
At
a relatively early age, to the dismay of family and friends, I strayed off the
beaten path of cultural belief, setting forth on a journey of self-discovery
that continues to this very day. The key to being on such a journey is to visit
a belief only long enough to be touched by it and then move on. Believing
nothing creates space for what is called in Zen “beginner’s
mind”—seeing, touching, tasting, and experiencing everything as if for the
very first time. I often say: “Yesterday, I thought I knew something, but for
the life of me, I can’t seem to remember what it was.”
My
metaphysical quest has taken me through many traditions and physically several
times around the world, seeking initiations available at the power vortexes that
dot our fragile planet. I have visited shrines and temples, traveled to sacred
forests and lakes, meditated in caves and on mountaintops, spoken to trees, and
studied with shamans, healers, and extraordinary teachers on six continents. I
am, in every sense of the word, a spiritual junkie in search of the ultimate
cosmic orgasm. What a trip! Each morning, the old me fades away, and a new me
arises to greet a welcoming sun it has never seen before.
A
few days ago I spent several days at a truly singular energy center. I’d liken
it to other sacred sites I have visited over the years, except for one thing: it
is more. The source of power at places like Mt. Shasta, Uluru (Ayers Rock in
Australia), Sedona, Glastonbury Tor, Chartres, and Jerusalem is rooted in the
past: The Paradise
Sanctuary, occupying a modest acre and a half just outside the town
of Ashland, Oregon, is a portal into the present. Reverend Lawrence Katz,
steward of this sacred land, has spent twenty-five years preparing the site for
its current role as an energetic vortex to help earthbound beings adjust to the
quickening frequencies of the Shift – the impending transition into the next
dimensional paradigm.
A
sanctuary is love in physical form. It is a holy of holies, a safe haven for the
beleaguered, and a place for spiritual transition. My wife, Arianne, and I were
sitting in the sanctuary garden when Lawrence mentioned a crystal skull he had
received a year earlier. During the ensuing months, the nearly opaque material
had become virtually transparent. What is considered a scientific impossibility
he explained with poetic simplicity: “Give anything sanctuary and it will
automatically rise to its highest divine potential.”
I
gazed out to the trees and ferns that form a living temple on this land,
sheltering crystals, statues, and other sacred pieces of art and realized I was
looking at a living testimony to his words. Surrounded by llamas, doves, dogs,
and other animals both domestic and wild, I breathed in a moment of perfect
peace. My reverie was interrupted by Lawrence’s intense gaze. “You need some
work,” he said. “Are you up to it?”
His
meaning was clear. However far we may have traveled on our path, at each moment
we are again caterpillars in a chrysalis, awaiting the next change into a higher
vibration. Given the free will allotted to each human, we can elect to stay in
the warmth and apparent security of our earthly identity, or risk everything and
break free. Lawrence was asking if I was ready to die and be reborn yet again.
We
arranged a session for the following day so I had time to tidy up loose ends and
make peace with my old me. “The work,” as Lawrence calls it, is done on an
altar table in a shrine room filled with geometric shapes, copper windings,
amplifying crystals, and sacred artifacts. In true shamanic tradition, he
invokes ancient chants, tonings, and vibrational sounds played on an array of
indigenous instruments. In truth, there was nothing gentle about the process.
Using breathing techniques as instructed by Lawrence, I was able to open my body
and heart/mind to receive the amplified vibrations he invoked and be realigned
with the potential of the new moment.
This
is not a process to be undertaken lightly. Death rarely is. However, for those
who find themselves temporarily trapped in a spiritual cul de sac and are
committed to emerging from the chrysalis of yesterday’s beliefs and taking the
next step into the eternal mystery, I can commend no finer process. Having
recently crawled as a caterpillar and then flown as a butterfly, I have to say
that it’s good to be free to fly again.

The
Winds of Change--Naturally
Science
Consciousness and the Indigenous Way
by
Regina
B. Jensen
This year marked the tenth time in which people in the
forefront of exploring the limits - or lack of limits - of human consciousness
have gathered for The International Conference on Science and Consciousness
in sunny New Mexico, under the auspices of The Message Company for one noble
purpose: welcoming scientists, mystics and indigenous folk alike to present and
compare their research and experiences under the same roof. Hank Wesselman,
anthropologist and Shamanic practitioner, used the favorite term “quiet
revolutionaries” to address them all.
What was also somewhat
revolutionary was the fact that a buffalo was the one to initiate the main
conference. During his very own White Buffalo Day, this unlikely celebrity,
honored by Santa Fe Mayor David Coss himself, was not just any white buffalo. It
was Beau, the only non-albino male White Buffalo on the planet, as per his owner
Monte, although quite a number of white buffalos have been born during the last
decade. What is so special about Beau that he was chosen by James Berry, the
creative founder of The Message
Company, to introduce a conference on science and consciousness?
The story connected with
Beau, namely the legend about the teachings of White Buffalo Calf Woman, does
seem to carry great meaning for our times, and clearly not just for indigenous
people. In short, the essence of the two thousand year-old Lakota tale warns and
reminds people to practice the right kind of prayer - for peace, balance and
harmony; to be careful how we approach the sacred: confuse Spirit with the wrong
kind of instinctual urges - notably your sexual drives - and you might end up as
bones and dust, as happened to the more dull-witted and sexually driven of the
two warriors in the story; and last but not least, there is a promise that White
Buffalo Calf Woman will return to bring back the sacred ways to a troubled earth
in need of purification on many levels. What might that mean to us, today?
Whether White Buffalo Calf
Woman returns literally or symbolically in each of our own hearts as we learn to
make our return to a more sacred way of living could probably be as disputed as
the question of whether Christ's second coming is to be a literal appearance, a
symbolic general event or an individual internal dawning of Christ or Buddha
consciousness. But we can see why some people have likened the deep meaning of
this symbolic animal, associated with the reconstellation of the sacred feminine
archetype, with comparable symbolic meanings of other religious faiths awaiting
the return of a savior.
With all that in mind, I
pondered the strange synchronicities, as recorded in the Courier Journal
of June 8, 2005, surrounding the earlier birth of another White Buffalo, a baby
girl. She was uniquely linked to the ominous day of 9/11, in that her
award-winning grandfather bull and sire, Chief Joseph, was reportedly struck by
lightning on Sept. 11, 2001, and died thereafter. (He had cost his owners, Bob
and Julie Allen, a hefty and symbolic $101,000.00 to purchase.) Chief Joseph the
bull was named after Indian Chief Joseph, who is celebrated for his valiant
struggle to peacefully avoid the U.S. government's attempts to remove his people
to reservations. Many individuals, of whatever tradition, associate that
historical September day of horror with the beginning of governmental
impositions which, while hardly the same in collective trauma, could yet be
likened in quality to a similar societal weakening and depletion. We are indeed
collectively losing our strength, vigor and autonomy as a result of increasing
interventions and loss of rights in the guise of protection and help - just as
it happened for our indigenous people.
Chief Crazy Horse, I
remember, was another one of those courageous chiefs and warriors who lost his
life as a result of trusting such purportedly helpful interventions by the
government of his time. And his well-known visions uniquely connect him to our
prophetic times of potential doom or enlightenment as well. In one of those
visions "...he saw the end of his people’s traditional ways, the weakness
caused by alcohol and the resulting destruction of his people’s strength and
character. He further saw the time when all people would come together again and
seek the light of understanding. Between these two images however, he saw great
trouble and much hardship for his people" (as retold by David Ray Smith).
Could the times since 9/11 and thereafter be the last of the great troubles for
all of us and might we hope that the times "of all people coming together
again" be signaled by the births of these prophetic, sacred animals? Let's
trust and pray that this could be so, even while earthquakes and tornadoes
continue to wreak havoc.
Inspired by my thoughts about
Beau and our collective yearning for a possible reunion with nature, spirit and
each other, I was looking forward to attend a presentation on Permaculture and
an unusual spiritual eco-movement hailing from Russia, called Ringing Cedars of
Russia, which seems to have taken this country by storm. Some have claimed that
its heroine Anastasia, a mystic/seer/visionary, has been changing the very soul
of Russia with her enchanting, life-changing teachings and what appear to be
super-human capacities.
Many of her followers would
describe Anastasia rather as a phenomenon than a mere woman, having lived
basically by herself, out in nature in the harsh environment of the Siberian
Taiga all her life. Her teachings deliver refreshingly new, intelligent ideas to
us well-educated, demanding folks, such as the concept of nature, specifically
the plant-kingdom, as a living consciousness ready to relate with us in a way
that seems almost magical. She also relates with wild animals in ways which are
unheard of in any traditions and has methods of producing information and even
physical movement which only the most advanced representatives of Shamanic
cultures have been able to demonstrate, although science is beginning to confirm
that such capacities are possible.
Known under the name of
Ringing Cedars of Russia, the book-series representing her teachings seems to
have literally swept over our ailing planet Earth with people sharing these
volumes and its unlikely story, mostly by word of mouth, around the world.
Eleven million books have been sold world-wide to date in twenty languages
without traditional marketing, attesting to the deep hunger for its messages.
What might the reader find in those ten, soon to be eleven, books? Some would
say: inspiration for a tender reconnection with nature, notably the
plant-kingdom, via the teachings of this unlikely young visionary, a woman of
unusual beauty, courage and other-worldly powers which are not easily described
nor explained. Unusual are also her visions for humanity which include
delightful and realistic blueprints for human happiness on a harmonized planet.
For instance, one of
Anastasia's unlikely suggestions is to prepare a seed for planting by exposing
it to our own DNA (via saliva) and certain other elements so that the developing
plant will know what to extract for us from the ground and from the environment
in accordance with our personal health needs. Too novel to consider? A part of
the Anastasia material communicates the same empowering message we have been
given by our indigenous folk, namely nature as a loving force standing ready to
relate with us humans in more conscious, supportive and personable ways, but it
clearly adds even more novel ideas for a reclaiming of our organismic sanity and
reconnection with nature. According to Steven Foster, author of A Field Guide
to Medicinal Plants and Herbs, "Anastasia will impact a new generation
of readers, like the works of Carlos Castaneda did for a previous generation -
only this time through awakening the latent spiritual connection each of us has
with nature. These books catapult us to an entirely new way of being on planet
Earth."
Anastasia and Vladimir Megre,
the latter being the author who has recorded her amazing teachings, reawaken in
the reader a hauntingly beautiful, long-forgotten way of autonomous tribal
living, still familiar to some of our traditional people. Anastasia attributes
much of the profound wisdom shared in these books to the values of her ancient
culture, to which she is privy by way of unbroken ancestral transmissions along
with her "ray," a visionary capacity to look at basically anything she
wants to learn about, no matter the distance or time-frame. More importantly,
she seems to deeply know and respect our modern needs and predicaments.
And just as do our own
indigenous teachings, but more specifically so, Anastasia explains that Mother
Earth literally benefits from and enjoys even the single, loving touch of
someone working the land by hand. In addition, she has devised a plan to help
people free themselves from the fear and threat of hunger by learning to live
off the land and reclaim their individual and communal health by way of a form
of grazing from carefully designed plantings on what she calls Family Domains.
(In Russia, the government has actually begun to support some of these noble
efforts by extending specific land-grants.) Her suggestions feel so simple and
inspiring that tens of thousands of people all over the world are scheming for
ways of doing just that.
More and more people, of all
colors and traditions, are experiencing increasing alienation, survival fears
and ill health and are looking longingly to reconnect with nature, themselves
and each other again. "All the wisdom of the Universe is included forever
in each soul right from the moment it is created," says Anastasia.
"...it is just that wise men slyly intellectualize for their own interests,
and thereby lead people away from the most important thing." (from:
Anastasiasgarden.com) The most important thing, to her, is that even today
everyone can build a safe and cozy home and live in their own paradise,
connected to and guided by Divine Intelligence and Love.
Anastasia is convinced that
such wholesome activities, simple as they sound, would act as multi-faceted
catalysts for profound change for each individual, our communities, our society
and our Mother Earth as a whole and offers stimulating ideas and guiding
road-maps. Thousands of people in Russia and other parts of the world have
already translated their inspiration into simple steps to a more wholesome,
natural life. She even has ideas for city-dwellers. Bill Mollison, who coined
the term Permaculture along with colleague David Holmgren, wrote in 1990 in that
same spirit that "...the only ethical decision is to take responsibility
for our own existence and that of our children," hoping that more and more
individuals would learn to design their own environments and develop
self-sufficiency through eco-villages which would "...reduce society's
reliance on industrial systems of production and distribution that Mollison
identified as fundamentally and systematically destroying the earth's
ecosystems." (Wikipedia)
"In the early days we
were close to nature," said Crazy Horse, "we lived by God's hand
through nature and evaluated the changing winds to tell us or warn us of what
was ahead. Today we are again evaluating the changing winds. May we be strong in
spirit and equal to our Fathers of another day in reading the signs accurately
and interpreting them wisely..." (Excerpt from: nativeamericans.com)
And Anastasia assures, as
quoted from the website of one of the developing eco-villages in Shasta,
California: “The whole Earth could be a Motherland for each one of its
inhabitants, and Man could be caressed by everything in the Universe, but for
that to happen, he would need to join together all planes of being into a single
point, call it his Motherland, and create with his own self a Space of Love
therein. Then all the best things of the Universe would come into contact with
it firsthand – come into contact with the Space of your Motherland. You in
yourself will feel the whole vast Universe through this point, and possess power
unsurpassed. They will know about this on other worlds. Everything will serve
you, as God, our Creator, wanted it.” (From: anastasiasgarden.com) A sense of
power unsurpassed, supported by all worlds in co-creation with "all our
relations" - do I hear an approving "Ho" from our celebrated
chieftains, who might be smiling upon us from their ancestral places?
As a final note of interest,
The Message Company, led by founder and visionary James Berry, also produces The
International Conference on Shamanism concurrently with The International
Conference on Sacred Sexuality, both exploring consciousness via ancient,
traditional and modern shamanistic practices and techniques. This should make
White Buffalo Calf Woman very happy and keep the enlightened, respectful
attendants from being turned into dust.
