Sometime in 1995, a bunch of us were sitting around talking and joking about how silly, disgusting, dark, and unempowering most of the daytime talk shows were….especially the ones like the Jerry Springers’, the Jenny Jones', and the Sally Jesse Raphaels’. How they bring out the lowest, the worst, the darkest, the most depraved aspects of the human condition. Someone suggested that a talk show/magazine that was aimed at the highest, the best, the most loving and compassionate would be a beautiful, desired thing. Then someone else suggested that Wistancia and Allan would be great at that…they would be the Regis and Cathy Lee of the spiritual world. Well, step by step, one crewmember, one show, one city, one country, one solar system at a time, "Bridging" has grown to what it is today.

Q: Do you have any aspirations other than the "Bridging" television show?

Allan has just finished producing a powerful, inspiring, and uplifting new CD, "Lessia Bridges Heaven & Earth" which has been a labor of love for all involved and is now available at Amazon. We have developed The Bridging Heaven & Earth Foundation a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation which is also dedicated to the "Oneness" and which is now accepting grants and donations in order to create a global communication and retreat center (see Foundations Page).

Q: What do you mean when you talk about (and it is also on the flyers and the opening and closing videos) "dedicated to the Oneness"?

The hope of all those involved with "Bridging" is to both realize personally and to share with all those open and desirous, an experience where there is no separation, no division, no conflict—only Love, Truth, and Bliss. The "Oneness" we allude to is an experience of the interconnectedness, the Perfection, that can be felt by all human beings regardless of age, race, religion, sexual orientation, financial status, or anything for that matter. In a human body, the experience of that "Oneness" feels like Love, or God.

Q: How do the guests get chosen?

As in so many things, it seems as if the guests seem to pick themselves (with grace always involved, of course). When we are planning for a new season, we contact new people as well as prior guests that the audience have requested to see more of. Then it just becomes a question of which guests can come on the dates that are available. Since we are now aired in more and more cities, and are listed in more publications, many wonderful people with extraordinary gifts have been contacting us about appearing on "Bridging."

Q: Are the guests local or from all over the country?

During the first few seasons, most of the guests were local. As we have became more well-known and more heavily distributed, guests from all over the World are starting to appear on "Bridging." For the Ninth season presently underway, there are guests from Europe, Australia, Minnesota, Nevada, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington State, Venus, New Mexico, Virginia, as well as from all over California.

Q: How do you stay inspired for each show?

We view the show as just an extension of our everyday experience. Nothing is outside and nothing is separate from each other. All is One. Therefore, the same way we try to stay inspired every minute of every day is the same way we stay inspired for "Bridging." Some of us do various forms of meditation, yoga, tai chi, Buddhist practices, toning, aromatherapy, movement, accupuncture, etc., to maintain and enhance our inspiration and feelings of well-being.

Q: Do you (Allan) practice any particular religion or spiritual discipline?

Allan does not experience or believe in the enormous levels of separation that seem so prevelant now. He tries to make his life a practice, a reality, and an example of consciousness and conscious living. His daily life includes meditation, yoga, movement, service, and hopefully, large doses of laughter and Love. He believes in the continuing cycle of more Experience, more Faith, more Love, more Surrender, and on and on and on….

Q: Is the show live and, if so, how do you get so many fantastic special effects?

The crew of "Bridging" (see Crew Page for personal listings) puts an enormous amount of time, energy, and Love into making "Bridging" the best show possible. Since it is a Live Show, with virtually no editing, the level and quality of performance has to be precise and immediate. The extraordinary coordination and cooperation between all members of the crew (i.e. director, technical director, audio, graphics, tape operator, floor director, camera people, etc.,) makes the flow of the show happen with grace and beauty. The crew puts a great amount of time in pre-production making certain everyone is aware of their coordinated functions during the live taping.

Q: What does "Television Format" mean as used on your flyers?

It just seemed to be an expression that was included in the first few flyers and has become part of the "Bridging" folklore. We meant it originally to be an indication that it was not quite a talk show and not quite a television variety show, but simply an external manifestion of, hopefully, the Love, Compassion, Grace, and Humbleness of all those involved—expressed through a television format.
